I cannot believe we just “allow” this to happen. Our country is sad right now.

I just came back from visiting the Colorado USMC memorial in Golden Colorado.

Apparently last night someone from the “tolerant Left” spray painted Free Gaza on it.

I am sure the lefty cheerleaders will claim it was all a false flag.

These folks deserve due process just like all citizens.

Jtex position is not serious and a non-starter.

Prosecution should be to the full extent the controlling law provides.

I do not see anyone being given a pass.

If Dr. Easter or Twitter people have information on these law breakers, I am sure the appropriate authorities would like to have it.

I think it goes as far back as Rodney King.

The Rodney riots were the first time iny recollection that violent protest, looting and anarchy was allowed to continue for a period. I believe it set the precedent, the attitude.

March and assemble and shout and protest all you want. Rally in the park, in front of City Hall, the Whitehouse, whatever. Make your views known, make sure the entire nation knows your views, I'll be happy to contribute a couple bucks myself.

Whip out a can of spray paint or a brick to throw and you should get the German shepherds and the billy clubs.

Read or re-read this entire page, The subject matter
as referenced and the photos attached.

We are in a divisive period in the USA. Those of us who have been combat veterans and/or law enforcement sense the latent violence just under the surface, particularly in large cities. The Floyd-King-Watts-Gaza-Hamas-PLO-Selma-Palestine pot is just beginning to
slowly heat. There are socialist elements waiting for an excuse like in Portland-Los Angeles-Washington, D.C. to riot, to burn and destroy property. November-December 2024 promises to be LA
1965 or Chicago 68 times X 5 or worse.
Hope and pray that I am wrong.

Keep your lamps lit. Bibles next to food storage,
a 6 month to one years supply of everything,
plowshares ready to be fashioned into necessities.

What makes you think they were conservatives?

Were you there?

Wasn't the KKK started by Democrats?

Didn't Democrats round up Asians (brown skinned people) and place them in camps during WW2?

Didn't the Democrats fight, literally, to keep slavery going?

I could go on, and on...

And of course before that too.

My thinking is that in this modern era, yours and my era, "Watts" is an unknown, you and I didn't live it, we read about it in books. Nothing really put parents would have told us about.

But you and I remember Rodney King and we remember the lawlessness as the mob took over neighborhoods and the law was reticent to respond in force. Since the riot was responding to the perception of heavy handed law enforcement, government was leery of furthering heavy handed law enforcement.

Were still doing it.

Government was very slow to respond to BLM and did so very gingerly. Government was very slow to respond to January 6th and did so very gingerly.

All this time later, you know what I think Trump should have done? He should have called out the Marines and an entire division at that. Give a five minute warning all civilians and protestors clear the Capitol and grounds. After five minutes the Marines clear the area. The worst that could have happened is he would be fired, nuts, ok, Trump would be impeached, dang it.
I got it! Trump could be held in contempt of Congress or loose points in a poll!

Frig, I give up.

Ok, point is you pull an Eisenhower and send in the M4's it's gonna make an impression on future hopeful delinquents regardless the consequences to the Commander in Chief. patriot

You left out the part where Lane was claiming that those on the inside peacefully entered the Capital.

How hard is it to say that violence, rioting and criminal behavior is wrong no matter which side of the isle you are on politically? Seems like that should be SOP instead of defending your team after they behave in a shitty manner.

Here is something we are not considering when we use Watts or Kent State to more modern riots starting with King and moving into the modern era.

And they factor is media and specifically social media.

When Watts and Kent State happened we had 3
Major networks and there was no 24 hour news cycle and that was it. Remember wen stations signed off ant midnight with the National Anthem? Also in that era for the most part reporters just reported the news and we drew our own conclusions.

Then King happened. While we didn’t have cell phones with video then we did have a proliferation of cam corsets and a 24 hour news cycle pioneered by CNN.

By the time we got to the Floyd/Seattle riots we had instant communication through social
Media and a myriad of apps combined with a divided news media shaping the news for better ratings. Everyone could give their opinion to the world instantly. The same for video. It’s streamed live as it’s happening as opposed to everyone coming home after work during the Watts riots and hearing Walter Cronkite tell America “and that’s the way it is”.

So I’m
Not sure we should be comparing back then to now because of the difference in communications.

Or I could be completely wrong. Lol

Capitol, Whitehouse, SCOTUS, Lincoln or Jefferson Memorial, National Parks, Smithsonian, Courthouses, City Hall,...... hands off. Protest, march, chant, flag wave, hold a sign, stage a sit in a love in, chain yourself to the trees, but "leaves no trace" .

The protesters that are throwing paint on art pieces need a bullet. Monet and Picasso are preserved for the ages, all generations, not just this unhappy current one. I want my great, great grandkids to stand and stare at the Washington Memorial and wonder and ponder about that man, that general, that president. I have been less than two feet away from a portrait of President Washington that he was actually less than two feet away from. It moved me deeply. Still does.

The curb, gutter and sidewalk in front of many of our homes and businesses are a "concrete" reminder of boundaries and limitations. Seems like socially we need a couple more.

Very sad to see this.

But, has anyone of you ever taken a minute to remember all the destruction your government did in Iraq?

Destroying monuments that have been there for thousands of years?

Some of you have selective memory!

I don't agree for one minute that those idiots have any righty to do this.

Neither have you got the right to destroy othrs monuments, which are infinitely more valuable historically!

Eject them from this great country that they apparently hate so much!

Start with the J6th rioting turds(all that entered the Capital Lane, those were not tourists) and add these idiots to the list.

Peacefully entering the Capitol is not a violation of the law.

A whole lot of front convictions and convictions on general refute this lie.

Tell another one.

What in Sam Hill are you saying?

All I said was that peacefully entering the capitol is legal. Are you disputing that???

We know that many were there peacefully as they were there taking selfies with the Capitol Police.

Those that hurt people, destroyed property, or went against police orders should be prosecuted…I said that.

Lane no matter what you say they will try and spin and twist it.

The worst one is Herr Goebbels.

If one of them told me the sun came up in the East then tomorrow morning I would be outside with a compass to be sure they weren’t lying.

And you are telling a lie from the put of Hell. You know it is a lie. Your are a dishonest, amoral person.

A whole bunch of felony convictions refute your lie.

You left wing parrots cannot get past that one can you.

And based on the recent USSC ruling those could just be non conviction depending on how the lower court rules.

Not sure where I stand on that immunity ruling as I haven’t had time to read it as I was following Cherveron.

A lawyer judging on morals. That rich.

I’m not even that big a trump fan. I’m far more libertarian conservative. What I do know is I will never support your coronated Queen and her band of sycophants (that means lap dogs).

The ancient monuments that were destroyed in Iran and Afghanistan were destroyed by ISIS or the Taliban. You know, practioners of the peaceful religion of Islam. The only monuments destroyed otherwise were statues of Saddam in Iraq. A few minutes on Google will show this to be true. Of course that fact clashes with your view of the great Satan. The Ayatollah would be proud of you. Of course he also considers you a heretic, worthy of death, but that’s of no consequence. 2020
