God bless Texas.

J. Lane Easter, DVM

A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

I fully support the effort to have Texas secede from the Union.

That would make them a weak, independent Country with no allies containing lots of desert, oil and brown people within easy driving distance of a bunch of our major military bases...

We usually have to go halfway around the world for such opportunities.

Jeff, y'all are a pack of cards, mister. rotflmo
The tendrils of history reach far corners. Just this morning I learned that my great great uncle, Sgt. Matt Hague, 44th Tennessee Infantry, Co. B, was killed on October 8, 1862, at the Battle of Perrysville, Kentucky. He was all of 19. A lot of Tennesseans in my family in addition to the Texans.
