I wanted to give a quick, slam-dunk rebuttal but stalled on that because I had to first figure out where you were coming from - what POV.

So the first "look what you made me do" is to actually read the OP linked article from Fox. Of course I doubt that Fox is presenting that narrative correctly, but it's plausible.

I don't support the concept of political influencer as in the mode that Fox has created, which is ideological affirmation feedback loop in an info bubble. If the Libs try to clone that, I call that BS. That will do nothing but solidify the polarization for the sake of some making money.

IMO it's not a productive strategy. And, it presumes that most people, by far, are idiots, left or right. Fox has made that presumption about their audience and they are making lots of money off it.

There are at least two paragraphs in the article worth picking into.

BTW, I signed into NYT to read the article that Fox was gaining press on. The NYT article is not as slanted as the Fox article. It's more informative for one thing. I did not get the impression from the NYT article that the left is pushing for some sort of clone of Fox's propaganda machine.

I believe to impress or sway the left, the info has to be supported with facts and evidence, light on the slant and spin. If votes can't be won that way, they ain't worth winning, IMO.

I have a problem with agencies like PBS/NPR etc getting taxpayer money and they clearly slant their stories to one side. Same with wealthy universities. They should all raise their own money and stop being welfare recipients, but also get back to true reporting, no restriction of 1A rights and no propaganda.
