I see that you are playing games with word riddle, and name calling, and gaslighting, your standard MO.

I'm not going to attempt another research to unravel your riddle.

I don't get the term inky Americans, for one thing. Is that a racial slur?

Either make yourself clear, so we have something to talk about, in whatever context you mind wanders, or I'll just accept the mystery and slurs and move on. Either way, your choice. It doesn't matter to me either way.

I thought perhaps I'd be nice and play along, but I think maybe nice is wasted on you.

198 Democrats Vote Against Bill To Keep Foreign Nationals Out Of American Elections
By: Brianna Lyman
July 10, 2024
4 min read

Democrats contest the legislation is useless since noncitizen voting is already illegal, with House Minority Whip Katherine Clark urging Democrats to “VOTE NO” on the bill earlier this week, as Axios reported. Democrats ran with this line during a floor debate on Wednesday.

“It is against the law for noncitizens to register to vote and to vote in federal elections,” Democratic New York Rep. Joseph Morelle insisted.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said “it is the state of the law that only citizens can vote in federal elections.”

“We know that it is already illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal elections,” Alabama Rep. Terri Sewell added. “Under current law, noncitizens would face up to five years in prison for attempting to vote in federal elections and even risk being deported.”

They’re all factually correct; it is illegal for noncitizens to register to vote or vote in federal elections.

Here's a more balanced article:

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/p...n-year-talking-point

House passes bill requiring proof of citizenship to vote, fanning a GOP election-year talking point
Politics Jul 10, 2024 5:53 PM EDT

Morelle said he doesn’t see the bill as an attempt to maintain voter rolls, but as part of larger GOP-led plans to question the validity of the upcoming election.

“The false claim that there is a conspiracy to register noncitizens is a pretext for trying to overturn the 2024 election, potentially leading to another tragedy on January 6th, 2025,” he said.

The fixation on noncitizen voting is part of a broader and long-term Trump campaign strategy of casting doubt on the validity of an election should he lose, and he has consistently pushed that narrative during his campaign rallies this year. Last month in Las Vegas, he told supporters, “The only way they can beat us is to cheat.” It also is part of a wider Republican campaign strategy, with GOP lawmakers across the country passing state legislation and putting noncitizen voting measures on state ballots for November.

Democrats and voting rights advocates have said the legislation is unnecessary because it’s already a felony for noncitizens to register to vote in federal elections, punishable by fines, prison or deportation. Anyone registering must attest under penalty of perjury that they are a U.S. citizen. Noncitizens also are not allowed to cast ballots at the state level.

Research and audits in several states show there have been incidences of noncitizens who successfully registered to vote and cast ballots, but it happens rarely and is typically by mistake.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose recently found 137 suspected noncitizens on the state’s rolls — out of roughly 8 million voters — and said he was taking action to confirm and remove them.

In 2022, Georgia’s Republican secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, conducted an audit of his state’s voter rolls specifically looking for noncitizens. His office found that 1,634 had attempted to register to vote over a period of 25 years, but election officials had caught all the applications and none had been able to register.

In North Carolina in 2016, an audit of elections found that 41 legal immigrants who had not yet become citizens cast ballots, out of 4.8 million total ballots cast. The votes didn’t make a difference in any of the state’s elections.

Several secretaries of state, interviewed during their summer conference in Puerto Rico this week, said noncitizens attempting to register and vote is not a big problem in their state.

Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams, a Republican, said that his state already requires photo ID to vote and that most people use a driver’s license.

Utah Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson, a Republican who oversees elections, said she supports the legislation in concept but provided a cautionary tale about how aggressively culling voter rolls can sometimes result in the removal of qualified voters. A few years ago, everyone in her household received mail ballots for a municipal election, except her. She had been removed from the rolls because she had been born in the Netherlands, where her father was stationed with the U.S. Air Force.

“I was the lieutenant governor, I was overseeing elections, and I got taken off because I was born in the Netherlands,” she said, “So I think we definitely have those checks and balances in the state of Utah, maybe to an extreme.”

Donald Trump and Barack Obama ended up at the same barber shop.

As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber, not a word was spoken.

The barbers were afraid to start a conversation for fear that it would turn nasty.

As the barbers finished their shaves in silence, the one who had Trump in his chair reached for the aftershave.

But Donald was quick to stop him, saying, "No thanks. My wife Melania will smell that and think I've been in a whorehouse."

The second barber turned to Barack and said, "How about you, Mr. Obama?"

Barack replied, "Go right ahead. my wife Michelle doesn't know what the inside of a brothel smells like."

I think he's responsible for political suicide for the entire GOP.

IMO, what we are witnessing has not been seen before in this country, history in the making.

Trump can be given credit for stirring more awareness and activism than anything previously. At least that's the case for me. Like studying history, the Founding principles, constitution, laws, and psychology and psychological, philosophy, religion, dogma, definitions, and so forth. Just thinking beyond stuff previously known, or thought to know, about what it all means and implications. Perspective.

The negative side is that he's caused and reinforced division.

And the stakes are high, especially for Trump and his family, businesses and co-defendants.

Then there's October Surprises. I doubt it could get much better, or worse, depending on POV, than what Jack Smith has planned, with DOJ approval.

Celine Dion rebukes Trump for playing ‘Titanic’ song at a rally
Sony Music said Donald Trump’s use of “My Heart Will Go On” is unauthorized. “And really, THAT song?” it asked, as it’s the theme for a film about a sinking ship.

Singer Celine Dion says the use of her song “My Heart Will Go On” at former president Donald Trump’s rallies is unauthorized and not endorsed, after the ballad was played at the Republican presidential candidate’s event in Montana last week.

Sony Music Entertainment Canada “became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing ‘My Heart Will Go On’ at a Donald Trump / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana,” her official X account posted Saturday.

“Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use,” it added. “…And really, THAT song?”

Trump and the politics that Trump is the figurehead for has done more to see young, mid aged, educated adults leave the GOP.

Back to attacking the Gov of Georgia, 1) Trump might need a pardon from him soon, and 2) Gov Kemp is GA’s best chance for a GOP Senator in the not to distant future.

Donald Trump thinks he should influence Fed rates—here’s what history and the law say
Story by Marco Quiroz-Gutierrez • 2h • 4 min read

Former President Donald Trump got Wall Street's attention by asserting that he should have more influence over interest rates, which are set by the Federal Reserve.

Rehashing a major grievance during his time as president, he criticized his own pick for Fed chairman, Jerome Powell, during a Thursday press conference and said he could do Powell’s job better.

“I feel the president should have at least say in there,” Trump said. “In my case, I made a lot of money, I was very successful, and I think I have a better instinct than, in many cases, people that would be on the Federal Reserve, or the chairman.”

Trump’s comments were brushed off by some in the financial world, but other major players were quick to condemn the idea that the Fed should be less independent.
Former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers was among the critics who said he was “appalled at how bad an idea it was.” The president has other issues to worry about and is not as close to the economy as the leaders of the Fed are, he added.

Meanwhile, Trump's opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, said Saturday that she wouldn't interfere with the Fed if she is elected president.

“We can now understand just how bad it is”: 70 miles in the Darien Gap

Award winning journalists Caitlin Dickerson and Lynsey Addario traveled to a 70 mile stretch of mountainous jungle terrain called the Darien Gap that has long been considered dangerous and nearly impassable. Today, the Darien Gap is a common route for hundreds of thousands of migrants from all over the world traveling north in hopes of making it to the United States. The United Nations estimates that roughly 800-thousand people may attempt to cross the Darien Gap this year alone. Many of them are children.

162 lies and distortions in a news conference. NPR fact checks former President Trump
August 11, 20247:00 AM ET

There were a host of false things that Donald Trump said during his hour-long news conference Thursday that have gotten attention.

A glaring example is his helicopter emergency landing story, which has not stood up to scrutiny.

But there was so much more. A team of NPR reporters and editors reviewed the transcript of his news conference and found at least 162 misstatements, exaggerations and outright lies in 64 minutes. That’s more than two a minute. It’s a stunning number for anyone – and even more problematic for a person running to lead the free world.

Politicians spin. They fib. They misspeak. They make honest mistakes like the rest of us. And, yes, they even sometimes exaggerate their biographies.

The expectation, though, is that they will treat the truth as something important and correct any errors.

But what former President Trump did this past Thursday went well beyond the bounds of what most politicians would do.

(The article goes through all 162)
