Representative Kay Granger, who represents Texas' 12th District, has apparently not been seen for six months. Or voted in the House. Just disappeared and kept collecting her checks.

Now she has apparently been found in a "memory care" and dementia nursing home.

A perfect Texas Republican; no discernible brain function and nobody noticed she hasn't voted since July.

Well, your buddy Abbott gets to appoint someone then, right?

Sounds just like Biden. But at least she isn't in the office screwing up. Her constituents don't have effective representation- and given she (and they) are republicans, why aren't you happy about it? The democrats effectively get that much more say...

A Governor cannot appoint a Representative, and the new incumbent will take office before a special election could be held. There's a lot of fraud involved in her entire Staff hiding that she's brain dead while posting on her Twitter account and all drawing checks.

Get somebody who can read to show you the difference between "Subchapter A", which applies to a Senate seat, and "Subchapter B", which applies to a Representative.

you are wise enough to understand this doesn't apply, aren't you? In this case, it's a moot point, as the person in question didn't run for office and there is a replacement lined up. I get it, you and maggie can't comprehend nuance - FILLED vs "TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT " -- so, you are incorrect, twice, in the same breath --

You should have quit while you just looked completely stupid, but you aren't even that smart.

A vacancy in the House can ONLY be filled by a Special Election, per the U.S. Constitution. No State can adopt any alternative manner of filling it, which is why Subchapter B is one sentence.

Now go pester somebody else, stupid.

My representative Don Young died a couple years ago and we had to have a special election to fill his seat which is how his friend Mary Peltola came to office. If I remember correctly the special election was a very short time before the regular election for the representative seat.

President Biden is currently ranked as the 14th best President in American history by a diverse panel of Presidential historians, Democrat, Republican and Independent, tied with John Adams as the best one-term President we've ever had, and as more of his infrastructure and manufacturing initiatives develop he'll move up, almost certainly into the top 10 within a decade. Meanwhile, the same panel rates Trump as the worst, behind William Henry Harrison, who served for 31 days, and the prospects of Elon Musk and Kash Patel and their ilk dragging him up off the bottom of the barrel are dim. He's the only twice-impeached President in our history, the only convicted felon and the only one ever found civilly liable for rape.

President Biden’s legacy was shattered on the floor of the election.

All things take time, and 30 years from now President Biden will not be 14. He will be lower. The responsibility for leaving the barn door open for Trump falls largely on him.

The clemency and pardons will not age well.

It is a failed presidency.

The last and lasting image America will have of President Biden is him pawing the mat looking for his mouthpiece on the floor while the moderator counts to 10 in the debate.
