Reagan was also in office for 8 years, followed by 4 more from Bush the elder, and the right was still claiming everything was Carter's fault. All that huge deficit spending under 20 years of 3 republican presidents won't figure in to your narrative. The GOP is a perfect reflection of their orange Jesus, all the credit, never the blame. With all three branches of gov't the GOP has never solved anything. They have it again, sit back & watch them fuck it up again.
