…how about that interview!

This is so embarrassing. In order for Kamala to survive, she had to have a chaperone and then a "journalist" so unbelievably sycophantic that she delivered the "question" with multiple choice answers. Lord, have mercy!

Well, Walz service is longer than any of the three of us.

Only in this MAGA dominate GOP does a man w 20 plus years of armed service obtaining the permanent rank of Master Sergeant.

He could have obtained the rank permanently, but chose not to by not attending the academy. In addition, it is my understanding that actual promotions to E8-E9 have to go through, be confirmed in Washington DC the promotion as a permanent rank cannot be confirmed in house.
That impression comes from dinner I had w my friend who is waiting on a promotion while also been appointed to the Director of a my under grad ROTC program.

Walz was not vested w the permanent rank of CSM.
He did temporarily serve in the role as CSM.

He never saw combat.

What is really funny is how upset a segment of AR is coming undone by this why advancing and excusing Trump’s lies.

You guys have fun being you.
I doubt it is going to work out well for you, but better for America.

Oh and the full interview, transcript, with fact checking has been made available to AR readers.

Or one can accept Hemingway lady ( not related to Ernest) characterization.

Dr. Easter, did you watch the interview? I am going to just take a guess that you did not.

It has been traditional for Presidential tickets to do a joint interview coming out of their convention, and Trump/Vance did one.

Was Vance "chaperoning" the oldest major Party nominee in American history because he struggles with dementia?

Hmm; it was 27 minutes. Fact checking was overall positive of Vzp Harris claims. Thus, the truth empresses a Trump supporter. Thst is not surprising.

I'll deny it was pathetic. What specific criticism did you have? I haven't seen one yet.

Seems to me you'd be more concerned about the shitshow that your boy has been putting on lately. Between dishonoring our war dead at Arlington National Cemetery and his flip-flopping back and forth on abortion, he's not having a very good week.

Harris and Walz sat down for an interview with CNN's Dana Bash on Thursday, marking the Democratic presidential ticket's first joint interview and the first major interview for Harris since taking her place at the top of the ticket. The interview followed a period of intense Republican criticism over a lack of interviews and press conferences for Harris.

Initial ratings released by Nielsen on Friday, which were expected to rise slightly in the final accounting, show that the interview of Harris and Walz drew in just under 6 million viewers—the cable news network's best ratings in the 9 p.m. time slot since 9.5 million viewers watched Trump's June 27 debate with President Joe Biden.

In comparison, Trump's first televised joint interview with Vance, airing on Fox News' Jesse Watters Primetime on July 22, was watched by 4.266 million. The interview aired one day after Biden dropped out of the race and just over a week after Trump survived an assassination attempt.

Of course, most of those viewers were Republicans who tuned in just to see how bad it could be (pretty bad). Kamala and Tim lie just like Donald but they are slightly less blatent. Trump's lies are outrageous and obvious. Harris and Walz are a little slicker about it. Many Republicans won't tune into a Trump interview because they are a bit cringeworthy. The same voters will tune into Kamala for the chance of some comedic relief. Bill

Okay, I served as a Marine on active duty for over 5 years and another seven or so in the reserves. I’ve also suffered from bone spurs, albeit after my Marine time. I’m proud I’m a Marine, but if I’d had bone spurs (with the attendant pain and mobility issues) I couldn’t have served, much less flown high performance jet fighters.
My bone spurs resolved without surgery (and I make no claim as to Trump’s severity of symptoms), but considering I’ve laid in the bed deciding whether or not to piss myself or try to hobble to the head/toilet, I promise you disqualification from the draft can well be mandated.
If you haven’t had bone spurs yourself, then perhaps you need to dial down the rhetoric just a little bit.

Was avoiding VD in the clubs of New York your "own personal Vietnam"?

Trump never had "bone spurs", his father paid a doctor for a deferment.

Remember what a great collegiate athlete Trump was?

I have bone spurs, plus bunions and flat feet. I sympathize with your struggle to go piss. I can't walk on a floor without shoes myself.

But here's the funny thing: I didn't have these problems when I was young. The conditions got worse as I got older.

If Trump really had bone spurs at draft age, he wouldn't be able to walk by now.

I don't think so. Trump's statements are often ludicrous, but I just don't see the same entertainment value. By the way, unlike Trump, Vance appears to be fairly skilled when it comes to debate or taking part in an interview. Kamala can be thankful she won't have to debate him. Kamala v Trump on the debate stage does have the potential for some real comedy. Fact checkers can keep busy on Kamala. They are not necessary for Trump; his lies are so blatant they don't need verification. GD
