I was reading at the 6th-grade level when I was in 3rd grade.
Why?
Because I was properly taught.
Now I've been a writer for many years.

What should we expect? The masses are fed a constant stream of lies and propaganda from both sides. They are confused and confounded, easily influenced by fear. Meanwhile, the powers at be, gladly manipulate them for their own power and profit.

From the title I thought you meant the American voters!

It applies to them. I belong to a local political party group and serve as a poll worker and volunteer. Most people I run into are ill educated and lack functional reading and comprehension skills. They run on their feelings, greed and religious beliefs. If Mr. Spock from Star Trek showed up he would neutralize them with the Vulcan nerve pinch. Quite illogical!
