There's an interesting urban story, might be myth, that when the Summit's builder went bust, he homesteaded The Summit (now lakewood church) as he had a condo built into the building, and was able to call it his homesteaded residence, saving his last asset and some of his fortune -

IDK if it's true, the person that told me this, in the early 90s, had been a mover and shaker in RE developments for 30 years then, and he believed it.
