Ok Jines, answer my 2 questions
Why did the capitol police not call other local agencies for help on Jan. 6, or if they did, who responded
What exactly did the 274 FBI agents do on Jan. 6?

The NG was preauthorized to go. Heck, they could have been there at 7am the 6th had Pelosi not asked them not to be.

Definitely NOT a lie that they were preauthorized to go. Whether it was only Pelosi that disallowed…not sure. But she is on record stating she didn’t want them there.

Silly me, I always thought the President was the commander in chief and that the buck stopped with him. Not like Trump didn’t know the phone number for the national guard, remember he called them out so he could have a photo opp in front of a church holding a Bible upside down. Spin like top until you vomit, it will never change the facts that (1) Trump had the authority to act to quell the riot, and (2) Trump did nothing of the sort.

Just listened to the interview with the Capitol Police chief, I am sure most of you will not listen, but he has an interesting story. I am sure he knows nothing about the Jan.6 riot.

Trump did not call for the National Guard but the Police Chief did, through the people that could give him permission.
2 things can be true at the same time, Trump did not call for them and the Police chief was denied permission to get the National Guard for 71 minutes after 1st request. He says the Guard arrived at 6 pm after the violence had stopped.

You can continue screaming Trump, Trump now.

They already had his approval to go. By the time he watching on TV he couldn’t get them there any quicker than they arrived that afternoon.

What would have been prudent was for Nancy to have taken them on the 5th.

What's the 5th have to do with it?

Trump didn't get the mob all stirred up and send them to the capitol building until the morning of January 6.

I think what Lane is saying is that everyone knew or should have known that Trump intended to press his minions into acts of violence and insurrection and that given the violent propensities of the MAGA faithful, it would have been prudent to have a military presence to keep them in check. Oh wait a minute, Lane thinks it was tour group run amok so why would anyone anticipate the need for the military in that case. Not sure now what exactly Lane is saying other than whoever’s fault it was, it was not his Orange Messiah’s fault . . . he’s divine.

The idiots that went into the Capitol did not do so because of rhetoric on the morning of the 6th. It had been planned ahead by those morons for a while. Intelligence knew it. Trump authorized the NG to be there to prevent a riot. Nancy and others wanted it to happen to use against Trump. Now I would like to know where the FBI fits in. With the imbed and cover up…looks like they may have facilitated for political power over Trump.

That is where I am coming from.

Trump won't make the same mistake twice. Next time the National Guard will be there . . . but to prevent Congress from fulfilling its Constitutional duties.

. . . or just have the National Guard and ICE located at "blue" polling locations to suppress the vote. Someone would have to be as dense as Lane or Milan to believe that he would not be up for giving something like that go.

I’m in the same camp on this one.
I admit, the Jan.6th riot was stupid and some crimes were committed and those criminals deserve their day in court.
Of course, many here see it differently.

Regardless of that, it’s fair to question what role the nearly 280 undercover FBI agents were playing there AND, more importantly, why was that concealed by the Jan. 6th committee?

As I asked before, to total silence, is why did the FBI lie and how could any defendant get a fair trial with the prosecution concealing this evidence and very likely using the agents’ testimony and recordings for prosecution?

For years, literally years, the federal government and the media dismissed any notion that the FBI had anybody there.
Then, about a year ago, their story changed to maybe 25 informants present but absolutely NO federal agents.
To today, now they ADMIT that almost 300 FBI agents were present!
What next?
It’s understandable that there is almost zero trust in government.
I say peel the whole onion and who gives a damn where it leads.

Mike, have you forgotten that the new Black Panthers did that at predominantly white demographic voting places. Obama‘s attorney general said he would not prosecute because “his people“ and suffered enough.

With the national guard and the air national guard having almost 500,000 serving and the black panthers having approximately 5,000 members, some might suggest the comparison is a false equivalency.

Not a false equivalence as you are saying.

The NBPP was very definitely interested in suppressing voters.

The NG is your neighbors and mostly could care less who you vote for.

If Holder really said that, it was a disgrace. He should have been fired.

But I've learned to treat every fact reported by Trump lovers with a lot of skepticism.

I too would like to know why 274 FBI agents were present, if they were.

I'd also like to know why there are so many of them in DC. True, their headquarters is there.

Are we sure these weren't FBI office workers on their lunch break? Watching the riot out of personal curiosity?

Add me to the list of those who would like to know.

Holder said it at a congressional hearing on why the voter intimidation case was dropped.
He did later apologize, but not a good look when he's top lawdog for ALL the people.

FBI? Seems they didnt learn anything about honesty
after being investigated, and vowing to change.
