Weird - we aren't talking about the national guard being deployed for internal policing - and we aren't talking about it

The governor certainly can call out the guard for civil disturbances use.

I didn’t see anything in your article that said the guard troops were going to be armed…

I also don’t see where the bag checks are meaningful. After all, NYC banned the public carrying of guns and knives, and explosives are hardly a common occurrence there.

Of course the usual suspects are claiming racism, and I suspect that it’s going to be actually a real delay inducing cluster to search bags on the subway.

The bags are a nonissue. Have enough deterrence on the trains and they won’t attack folks (or they will be in prison)… assuming the idiots in charge actually prosecute and punish the recidivist perps that they admit are the problem…
