Dignity wasn't the motivation of those who voted for him.

The motivation instead was specifically the undignified end justifies undignified means.

There hasn’t been any dignity in the Oval Office since Obama left.

I may not have agreed with the man much, but he conducted himself with dignity.

He behaved in a manner befitting the office. He is intelligent and articulate, and whether you agree with his policies or not he was respected by world leaders, rather than a laughing stock/ joke.

This reminds of a post in here from trump’s first term. Some dingleberry who is no longer on this site posted an article supporting white thrash messiah that included the line “…we tried dignity, that didn’t work.” At least he was honest.

The Conservatives generally and certainly some here have eschewed dignity for maybe more than a decade.

The defense of or even the acceptance of trumps behavior has been in excusable. But before that we had conservative insults and accusations aimed at Mr and Mrs Obama that were equally and more so despicable.

Rush Limbaugh, my main girl MTG, Trump and many, many other GOP affiliates never gave a thought to dignity. Wayne LaPierre and it seems many other NRA "Rulers" never considered acting and speaking with dignity.

Trump is no more or less the current version of undignified.

Carter had class, before the office -- certainly NOT LBJ --

IKE -- IKE was the last time there was real class in the White House -- and HE cooked his steaks directly on the coals .. which, as it turns out, is pretty good, and makes great fajitas too

The dignity of the office of the President was cast aside by presidents like Donald Trump and Lyndon Johnson. Even more than that though, dignity was stripped from the Office of the president by detractors who spread stories which may or may not have had any basis in fact. If they couldn't float a story, innuendo would do. Today, more than ever, it is plain that we, as a society, simply cannot abide a hero. No matter how much good work a man does, no matter how moral and upright he may be, there is always the "yeah but".

To me, dignity is quite different than morals.

Trump is not dignified. He’s like the carnival barker.

Biden lost it when he started helping Hunter way back in his VP days. He may not have sold access, but Hunter sure tried and Joe didn’t stop it. He had way too many temper tantrums and issues.

Obama was dignified. He spoke well and did not act upset about political attacks. He remains dignified.

GW Bush was dignified, but less than Obama. That carrier landing stunt bugged me.

Clinton tried, but that lying in the Lewinsky situation lost it. His behavior since then has been undignified as well.

GHW Bush was dignified, although some of the stuff that has come out after his death may raise moral questions.

Regan was dignified. May have been lost mentally towards the end, but dignified.

Carter was also dignified, right up until the end.

Ford tried, but his physical issues made him somewhat less dignified- all the falls. I also have a question on him relating to pardoning Nixon.

Nixon tried as well. Too bad his behavior as president made it impossible during watergate.

LBJ- hardly. He might be even less dignified than Trump.

JFK came across as dignified until all of the shenanigans that the press corps was covering up for came out. Posthumously undignified.

Eisenhower was dignified. His biggest issue was his fascination with golf. The summersby events happened well before his entry into politics and was something he avoided post war.

Truman was not very dignified. He took political squabbles personally.

FDR was probably one of the most dignified while in office of the modern presidents, but the hidden affairs, etc. kind of tarnish him there.

The most dignified of all of our presidents was probably George Washington.

I'd say that a bowl of moldy oatmeal has more class and dignity that trump has.
