Yes sir, 3 failed endeavors before I was 20, even while in college, then managed to make a decent strike and bought my first house, cash, when I was 21, and still in college, fell and damaged my back, sold my company, healed up from back injury while doing comp sci studies, a couple illadvised forays into a IT business, where I found out, to no one's surprised, I am terrible at sales. However I am pretty good at techie stuff, and leading teams of techies, so, cool techie jobs and a couple angel investor things, I have done pretty darn well.. judging from your past statements, my accountant tells me I usually pay more in taxes than most people have agi, from my investments, real estate, and, of yeah, my job. I don't mention this to brag, but to put out my meager accomplishments for review

Anticipating your next question, currently have 2 degrees, BA, 4.0, MBA 3.67, nearly 40 industry certifications, and will start my PhD program next year.

Oh, yeah, boot strapping.. I grew up a poor farm kid, and if I wanted a penny, I had to earn it outside of the home.. not paid for chores, but I wasn't charged rental to push a mower around to neighbors lawns before I was 10... barefoot, mud between my toes, and just a hay seed, really. Then I learned people hate painting fences, barns, sheds, and houses, which painting and lawn work bought my first truck

Oh, economics and accounting courses? 2 economics and 6 accounting course.. hmm, might be counted 8 though, as i had to take 2 more for the MBA.

One should note that I never "brag" about my wealth and investments, until requested. I do alright, and am pretty prepared for retirement.

Does that answer your questions, honey? Yeah, I am well aware any personal admissions will be used against me

My greatest accomplishments? 4 kids and a passel of grandkids

I hate to make incorrect assumptions, does that mean that you were or were not successful in becoming self-employed?

I also made it on my own. I started out after high school installing central office switching equipment and ended my telecom career as a fiber optic engineer. I bought my house at 27, still live in it, put myself through school again, learned a new trade, was one of the youngest inductees into the ACGG at the time, have a thriving business, owe little or nothing but most importantly to me, I have a career and life that I very much enjoy.

Education is a very good thing, hardly the only way to become successful in this world though Jeffe. Good luck on the PHD program.

Congrats on the success in reproducing, I never found the process that complex myself but good on ya for getting it figured out! hilbily

Yes, i have not figured out how to be solely self-employed, and have ZERO desire to be "self-employed" - owning a business and paying people to make me money, sure, but my little side gig, where i am the sole-employee, keeps me in pin money - I prefer to own a business, pay someone to run it, then "rake off" the profits, or have a decent ROI for my technical investments ,which have hit more often than not.

"reproducing" shesh, steve, you couldn't be more insincere if you where the dem POTUS candidate - making the kids is pretty straight-forward, and a life long hobby - RAISING them to be decent human beings is an entirely different story -

my investments will likely (like 99%) pay too much for me to qualify for SSI, and my "side gig" pays, well, let's just say i get PAID to consult or to speak. i find myself successful, despite my best effort

It was a joke Jeffe, hence the hilbily smile.

I know the difference between making kids and raising them, being a present and involved parent is important, it sounds as though you are one.

Success can be measured many ways, glad you seem to have found it.

the kids and grands sure do make my day -- taught all of them to shoot a bbgun, then gave them to bb gun to them, when their mommas were okay with it - taught them how to sharpen a knife, use a lensatic compass, ID snakes, etc ..

FINALLY got to vote, as the lines have been insane, and yes, i did NOT vote from trump -

The people who were harmed by being defamed by a former Fed prosecutor deserve the money.

Yeah, I'm sure it injured their future earnings by 148 million. Make that 100 million after the lawyers take their cut. That defamation was the best thing to ever happen in their lives. You're welcome to defame me a little if you like. Go ahead and accuse me of election fraud. I can take it and would settle for half that. Bill

That is what courts are for. How much is it for you to get death threats?

Somebody gives me a death threat, I say, "Bring it, Asshole". I'm most likely a better shot, pretty alert, still surprisingly mobile, and old enough that I'm caring less every year. I'm seldom unarmed, and own my own excavation equipment. My dog is still young, alert, and a biter. Mind you, if it pays enough, I'll cry like a baby and hide in the basement. Regards, Bill

Oh, good for you, you are a bad-ass.

Other folks may not be and they decide to utilize the court system to settle disputes. And, by the way...after you settle your dispute with a weapon or a dog, you can expect to be an unwilling participant in the judicial system...both criminal and civil.

Why do you care so much about what happens to Rudy? Oh wait....trump-tard.

I don't care what happens to Rudi and said so. I think he should be jailed, quite frankly.
Oh, as for me being a participant etc., you forgot about the excavator. Wink
Seriously, I'm all for punishing Giuliani, but let's face it, Moss' and Freeman's ship came in, big time. Bill.
