Every penny the stock drops Trump's share, on paper, goes down $787,500.

He's lost $401 million today.

I read that if a trumptard bought a $100k worth of stock during the IPO, it is worth $57k as of today.

Sounds like a solid investment. As with all trumptard-related investment vehicles.

If I could have obtained shares through my broker, I'd be on their shit list if I'd sold them within a certain amount of time. Best thing for that stock is to forget you ever heard about it. A few will make $$$, but many likely won't.

Trump Media, which began being publicly traded last week, is now far and away the most expensive stock to sell short, according to S3 Partners, a leading financial data marketplace platform.

Investors who wanted to borrow Trump Media shares to sell them short on Wednesday would have had to pay financing costs of between 750% and 900% of the price of the stock annually, said Ihor Dusaniwsky, managing director of predictive analytics at S3 Partners.

Some shorts took it in the shorts.

""Barron's reported Friday that, according to research firm S3 Partners, DWAC/DJT shorts had lost $158 million in 2024, including $93 million in March. Short sellers borrow stock in order to sell it, then look to buy it back at a lower price.""

Buying one share entitles you to the same rights and privileges as those who own millions of shares. The purpose is to harass the company. What would it cost them to mail out millions of copies of annual reports, etc. and so on and so forth? An old employer once commented about people owning one share of his company's stock just so the could harass the company.

Interesting the part about, "More than one-fifth of the nearly 500 SPAC deals that have closed since 2019 are trading below $1 each, representing a greater than 90% plunge. And dozens of them at times saw share prices surge in retail trader-fueled frenzies, meaning losses for some are far greater." ..... and that is without the stink of the Trump name attached to them.

. . . and now securities lawyers are hinting that lawsuits might be coming for "pumping". Face it, Trump is the human equivalent of the tar baby. Anyone that touches him, whether in a business, political or personal context, is left with his tarry shit all over them. They come away from the encounter a lesser person. Yet some are dumb enough to continue to play with the tar baby.

YEP .you are correct, this is lumped together in a term of "minority shareholder rights"-- if you buy ONE share of a certain class of stock, you get "exactly" the same "rights" as "millions of shares" - you get to vote exactly your amount of shares, oh, and get an email, with either a link to the report (annual, quarterly, SEC forms) , a link to secure portal, or even attached to the email - it takes zero seconds, as your brokerage provides your details electronically to another system, which no human reviews (there are exceptions, but that's handled by systems as well, except reviewing reports from data mining), and they don't mail out physical reports anymore -- and these reports are public, - unless you are on some form of a dividend program, where you get a link to a portal.

back in the day, there used to be stockholder discounts, from time to time, which all changed to certain specific class(es) of stocks, excluding common stock in most cases, though it's technically still an available inducement.

i do think a taytay takeover of truth social would be amazing!

Looks like it's still possible to get one if one really wanted a copy.

It will probably tank without any outside help.

Another thing that irked my old employer was that the stock float was small and some sold their shares on the open market for less that the company would have paid thereby setting a lower price for all shares.

Remember the price really does not matter to Trump. In an IPO the owner (Trump) does not pay anything for his shares so any price above zero is all profit it just a matter of how much profit.

Really just typical IPO craze. Stock skyrockets then people start to realize that a company with 4.1 million in revenue and a reported loss of 58 million might not be worth 9.5 billion. down 47% month to date. my gut tells me there will more decline, then at some threshold we will see a deadcat bounce.

He is in a unique position here, he is running for the president and can boost the use of Truth Social or whatever its called by using that as his primary way of communicating during the run up to the election.

Im not sure how that will generate income for the platform though.

He never misses a chance to cap in, a bit like charging the secret service to use golf carts and accommodation.

under normal rules he could not sell for 6 months, however, because the whole thing is run by himself and relatives all he as to do is change the rules and he could sell anytime he wanted to. I expect that to happen any day. the whole thing is a easy way to generate a few hundred million quickly.
