He has really amped up the lying rhetoric the past few days. Everything from claiming that Harris has an illegal immigration app on her phone to stating that there are 13,099 convicted illegal alien murderers on the loose.

I'm surprised we haven't seen these lies repeated here. Maybe it's a bridge too far even for the cult members?

Mike -

I'll admit it, I was tempted to challenge your post. But, all the reasons and knowing what the vicious responses from the left would be, I thought better of it.

Is that really the result you regulars want? No dialogue?

I frequently post on a Motorsports/Boating site called www.riverdavesplace.com. The P&G forum over there had exactly the opposite thing happen.

The owner banned all the progressives because he found out there was a conspiracy to crash his site.

Now, that forum is dull because all the opposing opinions are gone and its like this sub-forum, a single party echo-chamber.

Its hardly and echo chamber, there are several contributors who are pro trump, several more who are republicans but who cannot stomach Trump, a smattering of foreigners and several D's.

The latter may outnumber the former but it's not always been that way. There have been times when it was the other way around ... people come and go.

I'm aware of the existence of the app, buddy. trump's claims that Harris has it on her phone and approves migrant entries is bullshit.

Also well aware of the number of murderers. trump said they are running free. Not true. All of them are locked up.

But, man do I agree that we have a track record with trump. He's a lying, narcissistic seditionist. He tried to overturn a presidential election through fraud and artifice. He'll try again in about a month. The idea that you or anybody would vote for this clown is a mystery I will never understand.

It's bullshit. For somebody that claims he doesn't support trump and will not be voting for him, you sure spend a lot of time defending him.

https://www.washingtonpost.com...ant-murderers-loose/

Trump has a shining new talking point — an outrageously false claim that was ginned up by right-wing media and then embraced by the GOP nominee as an “official” fact.

Trump then embellishes the “fact” with additional falsehoods. Notice how he said he’d seen a list and some on it had murdered 10 people? There is no such list detailing the killings committed by the 13,099 people. That’s just a figment of his imagination.

Here’s the truth: Most of these killers are in detention, not prowling the streets, and have been since before Trump was president. It’s false to claim they entered during the Biden-Harris administration.

Given the two candidates, I don't need any other reason to vote for Harris other than the fact that she isn't a seditionist. She will respect the outcome of the election, no matter which way it goes.

Understood and obviously, I respect you voting for anybody besides trump. I just can't understand voting for somebody that has zero chance of winning. I know that a lot of folks do but I will never be able to understand it. I can understand not casting a vote for Harris.

I just hope Harris wins and we can put trump in the rear-view mirror. the country will be better off when he is gone and forgotten. He is a cancer and a poison. YMMV

Michael Moore: Only ‘landslide’ loss will guarantee Trump’s ‘permanent removal from the public eye’
Story by Judy Kurtz • 18h • 2 min read

“We should settle for nothing less.”

“Trump is toast,” Moore wrote.

“If everyone does their part in the next few weeks, Trump is going down in flames.”

But he also suggested that Harris supporters exercise caution.

“We do know that Trump has a stellar streak of pulling off the impossible — and those who have written him off have more than once lived to see the day where they must eat humble pie. It is never wise to do a victory dance on the two-yard line when Trump is your opponent,” the Academy Award winner wrote.

Moore also warned that Harris’s campaign could falter in its final weeks before Election Day if the vice president “is advised by her wealthy donors to shun the left and drop her more progressive positions in favor of a ‘move to the center.'”

“This, too, could reduce or depress the vote for Harris, especially among the base. I know many of you don’t want to hear that, but I’m just trying to warn you that the actions of party hacks and pundits have consequences,” Moore said.

“If there ever was an election where the totally unexpected and crazy could happen, this is already that election,” the 70-year-old filmmaker and activist said.

“Assume nothing. Take zero for granted. Work to prevent the worst results and prepare to make a possible Trump presidency a complete failure by spending these next weeks helping to elect Democrats to the House and Senate, thus creating a Blue Wall that will guarantee Trump will not be able to do anything for the next four years,” he said.

Maybe Trump already has his own frauds in place and figures that the only way he can lose is to a greater fraud.

I don't see the supporters of positive voter ID lobbying for new voter registration cards for minorities. How come?

Another Trump supporter, caught up in election lies, is sent to prison

Tina Peters, former County Clerk of Mesa County, Colorado, was so convinced of Donald Trump's lies about his 2020 election loss that she tried to prove that voting machines had been used to rig the election, and in so doing committed crimes that have earned her a nine-year prison sentence. Donald Trump remains free. former U.S. attorney Joyce Vance discusses with Alex Wagner.

It's an odd thing, IMO.

She, Tina, didn't get that way in a short period of time. And she especially didn't just flip to the dark side because of Trump's lies and character.

Her morals devolved long term. Of course, there's no one to blame but herself. She was of weak character, perhaps bolstered by religious belief. We can only speculate how and when it happened to her, but it did happen for sure.

Her distinctions of right and wrong were fucked up despite her being a Christian. There is the question, of course, was it because she was a Christian?

She is just an example. The rise of Trumpism has shown us the scale of it. It's been a long time brewing.

To some degree, maybe more or less, ALL MAGAites demonstrate the same weakness of character and morals that got Tina convicted. Of course most of them don't violate the law, but probably that's because most aren't in a position of authority like Tina was or not part of a militia group, or just don't have the opportunity or balls to overtly violate the rule of law.

There were many accomplices in the seditious conspiracy culminating on 1/6/21 - that's objectively, technically and legally.

None have remorse. They WILL do it again.

Now that leads to the premise that ALL election deniers, ALL Trump supporters nowadays, are no less guilty of being explicit accomplices in crimes against the Nation.

That's a tall accusation, but I think it's true.

Of course we all took note that during the debate, before and after, JD Vance also refused to acknowledge Biden won the election.

Another thing that might logically be surmised from the evidence is that the nation, our fellow Americans, about 50%, are as susceptible to Trump(ism) as Tina Peters was/is.

IOW, it's not the power of Trump, but the weakness of the many, that is the root cause of the rise of Trumpism.

And those same people can't possibly understand why the nation is divided.
