Good Grief.

So if he wins is the Judge going to sentence him differently than if he lost.

Can’t say Trump did not get handled w kid gloves.

I would have jailed him on the contempts like I would anyone else.

Maybe the judge doesn't want the sentencing to influence the election.

I don't know what I'd do if I was the judge.

Well he won't jail him so any other sentence isn't going to interfere with his ability to campaign even tho personal inconvenience shouldn't be a consideration.

Maybe if you do not want your sentencing to have an impact on your election, do not engage in crimes.

Trump’s election is no more biter of an ills t than anyone else who gets sentenced. I have seen small children and pregnant spouses not be able to say bye as final sentence is imposed.

I suspect the Judge sees what a huge mistake it was to engage in this lawfare.

I believe after the SCOTUS ruling he realizes the trial must be tossed.

I suspect he is now loathing the day he became involved.

Most of the actions for which Trump was convicted were solidly "private" acts, even signing pay-off checks while sitting in our Oval Office.

You want to make a wager that this trial doesn’t get some correction?

What does "some correction" mean? I see three possible appeal outcomes:

1. Verdict is upheld.

2. Verdict is reversed and sent back for a new trial.

3. Verdict and case are tossed for some legal reason, like maybe unconstitutionality of the NY statutes Trump was charged with violating.

Are you talking about another possible outcome?

The S. Ct., immunity case cannot be read to have anything to do with this case. This case has both to do w the powers of a setting President.

Trump was convicted of falsifying business records with intent to defraud.

"Under New York law, falsification of business records is a crime when the records are altered with an intent to defraud. To be charged as a felony, prosecutors must also show that the offender intended to "commit another crime" or "aid or conceal" another crime when falsifying records."

What was Trump convicted of? Details on the 34 counts and his guilty verdict

If it is not the bastardized methodology used to amplify to felony status and revive from statute of limitations it will be procedural mistakes made by the judge in trial but I will wager it bites the dust.

Well, he actually did falsify business records with intent to defraud and aid and conceal another crime. Those are actually facts.

Of course, given his history and desire for the future, he may yet beat the rule of law to death, or at least submission to his will.

After all, faith is the substance and hope is the evidence. Carry on.

Nope.

It was an unopposed motion and if you read the order, he treated it basically as an agreed motion. In other words, the prosecution was in agreement with the request to delay the sentencing. The judge was also concerned about the effect the sentencing might have on the upcoming election. The irony of that will be lost on the half-wit trump supporters here but the reality is that the guy is so fair, and so concerned about his actions effecting the election process, that he gave trump a pass on sentencing until after the election is held.

As for the trial being tossed, judges don't delay sentencing because of the fact that a case is going to be appealed. Every serious criminal case is appealed. Sentencing isn't delayed because of that.

Finally, the one thing you're right about is him loathing the day he became involved but that has nothing to do with the merits of the case. He and his family have been dragged through the mud by trump and his supporters like you. He's been threatened, verbally attacked, his daughter has been attacked. All by trump supporters and trump himself. Shameful behavior.

Worst possible outcome for Trump: Why Trump's sentencing delay may make 'confinement' more likely

At first glance, the news that the sentencing in Donald Trump's New York criminal trial has been scheduled for after the presidential election seems like a win for Trump, but what is also possible, and even likely, is that Judge Merchan put the date after the election because he intends for the sentence to include "confinement," either at home or in jail, and he did not want such a dramatic sentence to influence the election.

Your analysis and rejection of that analysis of Chauvin undermined that.

I explained the legal flaws in your argument during those discussions. The appellate courts agreed with me in result and rational.

Remember when you said you would have to hear the entire GA Sec of State Trump call to pass judgment? However, you refused to listen to it when the Jan 6 Committee played the whole call.

You deny Trump had an obligation to transition power peacefully, defend the Constitution from Jan 6 mob, and his actions were the catalyst of that mob.

Oh, both sides pull this bullshit. trump pardoned a lot of his fellow financial crime grifters who were supporters and donors before he was shown the door.

I have no doubt that Hunter will get his pardon as well, Biden's previous utterances to the contrary. It would be very hard not to use that power in order to keep a son or daughter out of prison. Does anybody doubt that trump would do it in a second for one his half-wit spawn?

It is the President’s due power and discretion to pardon. I cannot condemn a man for pardoning his son. Especially, when the gun charge has been held unconstitutional in at least one Fed Circuit.

That case never should have been prosecuted and never would have been if it wasn't politically motivated. The verdict is fatally flawed even before the Supreme Court opinion because the jury never agreed on the "second crime" that the Democrat DA used to try to survive the statute of limitations. The jury charge didn't require them to do so. The judge, while biased, is not an idiot. He knows the conviction is a hoax and cannot stand.

one who has ever deposed a doctor or a surgeon recognizes Dr. Easter’s type.

I did not know this personality issues extended to vets.

The old saying is, “ You know the difference between God and a surgeon? God does not think he is a surgeon.”

Dr. Easter thinks his way of life and his accomplishments are more valid and core t than those who lives otherwise either by choice or circumstance. That in and of itself would be tolerable. I think how I live is best. The problem is as President Obama observed at the DNC he seeks to make the American system zero sum. That his way of life must be enforced by law with the power of the state to force his morality and chosen way of life upon all of us. The state selects what Pryor and to what God. The state has the power to take your liberty and happiness if you seek an intimate relationship with the same sex. The state shall prescribe that gender dysphoria simply does not exists and criminalize those who suffer and treat. The state shall ban marijuana while I drink all the whiskey I want because John Wayne drank and did not smoke. We could go on.

The U.S. or system is not zero sum. There is room for each of us to have our own while existing under the protection and shelter of the Constitution.
