A real judge would know all this.

Think about that!!!

In my limited experience with judges, I have found they are real people, with their biases and flawed reasoning and agendas, just like us.

Most however don't let their biases get the best of them.

Some claim one thing and practice another, such as originalism, textualism, etc. Think Scalia and Gorsuch. They vary in intellectual ability, morals, ethics, etc. just like us.

It's the system we have to live with. At least it's a system, and essentially a good one, as founded.

My take-away is that there is no such thing as perfection in the system. Yet, it is ours and we should sustain it and keep close attention to the foundation principles that make it work.

Another thing - the foundation principles, the constitution, etc., are secular.

Never forget that.

It was a typo, and I responded quicker than he could correct it. No harm. Smiler

"Cass has testified before congressional committees on many subjects, and he has been involved in constitution-making and law reform activities in a number of nations. In 2018, he was awarded Norway's Holberg Prize, which is often described as the Nobel Prize for the humanities, law, and philosophy."

If you're gonna appeal to authority and it's not a fallacy, this is a good example.

Texas GOP Amendment Would Stop Democrats Winning Any State Election
Story by James Bickerton • 20h • 3 min read

According to The Texas Tribune it is unclear whether requiring support from a majority of counties to achieve statewide office "would be constitutional and conform with the Voting Rights Act" as racial minorities are disproportionately concentrated in a small number of counties.

On Saturday the Texas GOP also voted on whether to back a referendum on the state leaving the United States and becoming a fully independent country, a proposition it approved during the previous party convention in 2022.

The motion stated: "Texas retains the right to secede from the United States, and the Texas Legislature should be called upon to pass a referendum consistent thereto."

Other motions proposed included a call to "abolish abortion by immediately securing the right to life and equal protection of the laws to all preborn children from the moment of fertilization."

There was also a call to reverse the renaming of military bases named after Confederate leaders to "publicly honor the southern heroes," and a proposal that Confederate "monuments that have been removed should be restored to their historic locations."

On Thursday supporters of the Texas Nationalist Movement, which wants the Lone Star State to become an independent country, were photographed holding signs which read "TEXIT NOW!" inside the convention center.

Stormy Daniels reads out 'violent' death threats from Donald Trump supporters
Story by Amanda Evans • 17h • 4 min read

Donald Trump’s hush money trial is nearing its end, with closing arguments expected shortly.

But for Stormy Daniels, the aptly named woman caught in the whirlwind, there’s no end to her ordeal. Indeed, Trump may be the one on trial, but it’s Stormy who’s been judged every day for the past five years, according to Mirror.co.uk.

And unlike Trump’s New York jury of his peers, Stormy’s being judged by those with little mercy, little care for evidence, and scant regard for Justice.

And with Trump making another run for The White House, she knows the haters and the abuse are only likely to get worse.

Speaking from her home in Texas, Stormy says: “Back in 2018, there was stuff like ‘liar’, ‘slut’, ‘gold digger’. This time around, it’s different. It is direct threats. It is ‘I’m going to come to your house to slit your throat’.”

The intensified abuse and violent threats got worse after the decision to charge Trump over alleged hush money payments made to her. People have become so angry at her role in Trump’s potential downfall, that they have convinced themselves their beliefs and actions are valid.

Was Stormy Daniels the accountant who made those false entries? How would her testimony shed any light on the legality or not of the alleged criminal falsification of records?

Her testimony was just to set the context and the validity of charges - that he did have sex with her, he did pay her a NDA, he paid her much later to kill the story. The actual purpose of the payment to avoid any poor publicity during the election cycle is FACTUALLY established.

The FACTS of the case are very obvious.
1. Trump falsified his accounts. A felony.
2. He did that to cover up another crime - Tax evasion and Interfering with elections - another felony.
3. He instructed other to also act in such a criminal way

How difficult is that to understand.

Hey, Mike,
In you infinite, unbiased, and pure opinion, what part, what SINGLE WORD of Stormy's "testimony" showed a SINGLE scintilla of proof about Trump directing accounting entries?

Trump’s lawyer made Daniel’s testimony relevant when he denied and called her a lier in opening.

The Judge explained this in overruling a motion for directed verdict.

I have posted the Judge’s rationale before.

Now, it is on team Trump to prove the Judge rational was wrong.

It is fair and will be part of the appeal that did pour no objection from President Trump’s lawyer, to allow her testimony to be so graphic was palatable error in violation of Rule 403. I do not know the answer to that. I acknowledge it is an issue to address on appeal. The appellate courts will tell us. It could be inadmissible, but harmless error. The Judge, most likely, was correct.
