We have been playing w fire for a while now.

Now, it is upon President Trump and this Congress to fix it.

Audio seems to indicate that ATC warned the helicopter about the plane asking if it had the plane in sight, and then later cleared it to pass behind the plane.

Trump has been POTUS for less than two weeks.

Already; he's responsible for a plane crash, the war in Ukraine hans't ended and the price of eggs hasn't reduced yet.

But if prices would have gone down, you guys on the left would say something like, "He hasn't been POTUS long enough for his policies to have taken effect, these prices are a result of Biden's policies."

Has he ever been responsible for ANY of his actions according to members of the cult? Not that I recall.

Trump was right about one thing though, he could shoot someone in broad daylight on 5th Ave and these nutters would defend him.

After listening to tapes 30 or so times, reviewing camera film and ADS-B in and out displays (and being licensed as a commercial pilot with multi-engine, instrument rating… sea plane, etc. and a former USMC NATOPS officer; also a defense counsel in a couple of Part 121 air carrier fatal accidents and still flying LSA at 78, I have a few things to say or ask.

What ever Trump did Since Jan 20th most probably had nothing to do with the cause of the accident,

DEI hiring probably had no direct impact, either.

The helicopter crew asked to provide his own separation from the commercial carrier (a CRJ) and acknowledged visual contact, but was probably watching the wrong a/c inbound for landing.

Most military a/c operate on UHF frequencies and civilian a/c on VHF frequencies. The tower was listening to both and broadcasting to both but the pilots in both a/c probably couldn’t hear each other, just the tower. That shouldn’t have made any difference.

The regional jet is not very maneuverable in the landing configuration.

Without the references available to me, the news videos from the Kennedy Center? are confusing, but the Helicopter was basically southbound and the jet northbound, then NNW to a course of 310.

I believe DCA tower handles 800 flights a day.

The commercial carrier had been cleared to fly an approach to Runway 01 and then turn slightly right then left to Runway 31 so while in very close proximity to the airport, 2 wing up turns of at least 20 degrees could have blocked his vision somewhat masking the helicopter. There is no transmission during the last minute or so from him as he had already been cleared to land (and none was expected).

So…. The helicopter was operating in controlled airspace, had acknowledged the traffic he eventually hit (but was probably looking at the wrong approaching A/C). Immediately before landing, the passenger plane had to execute a 20 degree offset to the right requiring two turns to align with the designated landing runway. This COULD HAVE have momentarily blocked vision.

My questions: Why didn’t the tower warn the commercial jet of the helicopter’s maneuvers in addition to the comments, questions or directions to the helicopter…. I never heard a warning or any kind of direction to
to the CRJ.

Why didn’t the helicopter not see the CRJ since the were both lighted and the closure rate wouldn’t been been 250 knots or so.

Trump is premature to blame EDI and the Democrats are premature to blame a 9 day executive.

Things I wonder about. What role did the helicopter pilots using night vision googles play operating in an area that is heavily lit? Why in the world would you be doing proficiency training anywhere near an airport like Reagan much less anywhere near the approach patterns at the airport?

The only thing I see Trump being blamed for is a boner of a press conference where once again his stream of consciousness thought pattern rises up to bite him in the ass.

Re blaming, it's more disgusting than that. In that news conference Trump actually did a lot of blaming, as usual without evidence.

Mostly that's the issue.

Anyway, here is an interesting assessment based in facts:
