European leaders rushed to stand with Ukrainian President Zelensky after he was thrown out of the White House for petulantly demanding that the U.S. abandon diplomacy with Russia. rotflmo After President Trump and Vice President Vance called him out for this, European leaders acted in unison to signal that Europe can and will pick up the torch by posing for this War Lovers Family Photo. They are calling themselves the "coalition of the willing."

European Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen summarized the meeting thus: We want peace. We'll do it with a "massive surge" of war. rotflmo

The U.K. signed a 100-year agreement to support Ukraine, both militarily and financially. rotflmo This was already in the works since January but it was widely reported over the weekend to symbolize Britain's opposition to the U.S. position. This puts them on the hook for £3 billion per year until 2031. rotflmo That's only 6 years so who knows what the remaining 94 will entail but they do have a plan to establish military bases along the Sea of Azov, which Russia controls. That should go well. rotflmo

Part of this plan is for "combating...propaganda." So expect a lot of propaganda. Ya think? rotflmo

British Prime Minister Starmer also announced a £1.6 billion missile deal for Ukraine. rotflmo

President Zelensky posted his summary of his weekend, reiterating that Europe is his new bestie because the U.S. refuses to play that role now. rotflmo

Oh and Canada wants in on that action too. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau scored himself an invitation to the summit and now says that "everything is on the table" for Canadian support to Ukraine, including troops on the ground. rotflmo

Based on this political theater, there are increasing calls for the U.S. to leave NATO.

rotflmo

We should leave. Everyone else wants to be ewecrane's money launderer.

I do find it rather sad when an American posts something like this. A country which values it freedom, the ability of its citizens to say and do largely as they please, to express opinions which may vary from disagreement with the current government to the downright stupid, and yet those same people seem quite content to consign the citizens of another country to Russian control.

Russia is a place where you will be locked up and/ or consigned to hard labour for a decade or two for expressing the slightest disagreement with the government line. Where political opposition members are routinely poisoned or have unfortunate fatal accidents. Where you have no access to anything except the govt approved internet/ news. Where all non government media is gone. Where the government has no issues with using nerve agents to assassinate its citizens who have fled abroad.

America the country which spent decades trying to bring democracy to Middle Eastern states who didn’t want it, at the expense of thousands of US and western soldiers lives. Yet Americans who class other governments who have the balls to pledge support for citizens of a country which does want democracy and is willing to fight for it, as warmongers. Warmongers for giving those who want to defend their freedom the means to do so.

Remember when some silly-ass song called this the "Land of the Free and Home of the Brave"?

Now a third of Americans are in a cult that worships a convicted fraudster, a known pedophile, a pathological liar and a clear Russian asset, and they are willing to sacrifice the strongest and longest-lasting alliance of free people in human history at his whim.

It's not merely sad, it's fucking pathetic.

Zelenskyy met with anti-Trump Democrats who advised him to turn down the mineral deal with President Donald Trump shortly before the Oval Office showdown.
According to Democrat Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with a group of anti-Trump Democrats who told him to reject the terms of the Mineral deal with President Donald Trump.
The meeting with the Democrats took place Friday, shortly before Zelenskyy, Vice President JD Vance and President Trump got into a heated clash in front of the Press Pool in the Oval Office
Murphy posting to X,
“Just finished a meeting with President Zelensky here in Washington. He confirmed that the Ukrainian people will not support a fake peace agreement where Putin gets everything he wants and there are no security arrangements for Ukraine,”
The post was made at 11:15 a.m. Friday.
Attached to the post was a picture of Zelensky at a conference table, with Murphy seated on the opposite side.
Less than an hour later, Zelenskyy showed up at the White House to meet President Trump
The reason for the meeting was to sign the mineral deal, that Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Zelenskyy had already agreed to.
We now know, that after meeting with Murphy, Zelenskyy had no intention of signing it.
The Democrats successfully stopped the mineral agreement and ceasefire that would have been signed, meaning thousands of people will continue to die every week in Ukraine.

Roughly 500 Billion spent “on” Ukraine in the past 3 years .

Not quite half of it by the US.

(over 1 billion per INDIVIDUAL US taxpayer)

(with reconstruction estimates from 1/2 Trillion to 1.5 Trillion)

Yes, absolutely, war mongers.

How much per life lost in this “meat grinder”?

How much more can be spent (wasted) and how many more to be ground. ( wasted as well)

I'm deeply skeptical of Vlads ability, regardless, how in the world did we go from Vlads dissolution to Vlads defense and support?!?!?!?!?!

But for Western Aid, Ukraine falls.

Putin does not think in election cycles. He thinks and plans 5 plus years out. Ukraine is not even the first chapter:

Chechnya War (2nd) from 1999-2009 saw an end to Chechnya independence.

Russo-Georgia War (2008-2011ish) was the exact same gamelan as Ukraine with Russia first backing separatists movement. This conflict ended w Georgia loosing territory. This loss of territory did not stop Putin. Technically, Putin violated terms by not withdrawing from Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Georgia considers Abkhazia and South Ossetia Russian-occupied territories. In November 2011, the European Parliament passed a resolution acknowledging Abkhazia and South Ossetia as occupied Georgian territories.

Then Crimea and now mainland Ukraine. He has never stopped. This is not the first round. Putin has said he is out to rebuild the Russian Empire. Why is this so hard to see? He is not going to stop. This w Ukraine is not the beginning. It is barely the middle.

got your attention -

actually,
the number as of yesterday was :

for US funding alone is between $1500.00 and and $2000.00
so about $500 to 700 per taxpayer per year for the past 3 years
based on 169 million individual tax returns
and as best this
can be “accounted” for

Yep, I’m in the UK, specifically to the south west of London near one of the areas where the British army trains. Ive seen the tanks and other equipment being moved around whilst Ukrainian troops are trained on it prior to going back to fight. We have Ukrainian refugee families living in our village to whom we donate food and whatever else they need. The UK meets its NATO obligations, just like the US does.

I’m happy to lecture you about freedom any day. We support those who want to fight for their own freedom and will continue to do so. I don’t base my opinion on rubbish I’m emailed by idiots.

The UK backed up the US in your efforts to bring democracy to countries in the Middle East who didn’t want it, and there are many families here who are missing fathers or sons or have maimed and disabled members as a result.

Now you have a country who does want it and is willing to fight for it and the US turns its back on them at the behest of the petulant child you have elected.
