I'm certainly not trying to support a premise that Shanks is extremist, nor pick a fight. IMO, we all know he's not extremist. That's why he's almost perfect for making an example of something he says, with unintentional implications. In a way, I think you are trying to dismiss my points by making that suggestion, and that I'm picking a fight. I saw an opportunity to make a point off a comment by Shanks that has subtle but deep implications relating to the big picture of support for defunding PBS/NPR and the claimed/perceived leftist bias. Just to be clear about my intent and points - it's easy to see/read that Shanks took it personal. IMO, that's because he misconstrued that I was attacking his self-ID rather than spring boarding off an idea(s). That's the reason discussions of climate science in particular is difficult if not a no-win as Shanks calls it. It's like that across the spectrum. For example, and I can't speak for leftists in general, but climate change is not a self-ID trigger for me. Disparaging climate science, or science in general, is. Are you referring to personal observations or science? When did you start believing?
