For the record, I have no formal opinion on this guy and not saying he is/was anything other than an idiot.

But, it does seem that he has been treated with kid’s gloves in the light of damning evidence. If there was an insurrectionist…it seems this is your guy.

Ray Epps is an idiot Trumper (but I repeat myself) who apparently (barely) had enough sense to not enter the Capitol during the attempted insurrection.

I'm so old I can remember when Trumpers were saying that it was all "Antifa" at the Capitol, but the 400 or so sent to jail so far were all Trumpers...

When your first lie about an event gets debunked fewer people will listen to your follow-up lies.

So, what? Are you dredging up the discredited idea that he was a government agent?

No, he has no formal opinion, just brought him up because there's nothing else worth talking about...

Seems weird to me that there is so much evidence of him inciting an insurrection that he would have been charged with something more than disorderly conduct.

But I digress. Everything is weird these days as it pertains to the Federal Government.

Just curious if anyone else thought the charges were excessively mild for someone on camera a multitude of times tellingly people they must stay focused on entering the Capitol.

From what I've seen folks were charged for what they did on Jan. 6 and where they did it, not for what they said.

Point to which of his 91 criminal charges are for something he said outside of soliciting an illegal act.

Exactly!

They talk about Trump being guilty by incitement.

Here…you have literal incitement and a hand-slap.

I've said for a long time that allowing our side to do it provides justification for their side doing it too. Here we are.

If we brought the hammer down on our side, we'd be justified in condemning the other side for,......

My friends, "the bar" is being lowered, and lowered, and lowered,......

I am not suggesting Epps as defense/justification for Trump.

I am merely asking why a clear case of incitement of insurrection was swept under the rug with multiple clips of video evidence?
