I can relate to and understand the quote "I'm sorta mixed about wanting him to fail".

It's not so much that I want Trump to fail as it is I want Zelensky to win, as well as the European leaders to prevail in their goals. Trump wants to mostly capitulate to Putin. I hope he fails in that goal.

And so forth. Now that I think about it, I can't think of anything I hope he wins.

It's got nothing to do with TDS. It's about utter corruption, fucked up ideology, authoritarianism, and worldview that I disagree with. I don't care whether Trump gets his hotel in Moscow, unless it's at the expense of Ukrainian lives and sovereignty.
