A video from twitter that I hope is correct.

Apparently at a soccer game in Iran, Someone unveiled a pallastinian flag and the crowed told the to shove it up their arse.

My parents were in Iran just before the latest batch of unrest, and spoke of how openly people detested the politics and situation of their nation. It looks like many may want no part of whats happening.

Two things strike me:
First, it is disconcerting to say the least to see Israel, to which the United States has given 158 BILLION dollars in foreign aid since 1948, get sucker punched in such a shocking fashion by Hamas.
Second, Hamas seems to be like the clueless pool player who doesn't give a thought to setting up for the shot after the first one. They and many innocent Palestinians are going to have the absolute hell kicked out of them, making life in Gaza much worse.
One is reminded of the phrase from Proverbs: "He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind ..."

Don, Biden did have a role in putting Putin and the theocracy together and not thinking that they would try and come up with something to disrupt our policy that in Putin’s case has killed way more Russians than Hamas killed Israelis.

For being such a strategic genius (per the lefties) that Biden and his team weren’t keeping up on intel about possible disruptive events is a problem.

And our left owns the fact that somehow we pressured the Israelis to weaken the cordon around Gaza so that they were able to get how many artillery rockets smuggled into Gaza to allow this?

Yes, Israel should have seen something in the fact that with the addition of iron dome the Palestinians would have to come up with some change in tactics and not be so self congratulatory about ending the prior attacks.

Of course, the Palestinians are going to get the short end here. No one over there wants them around (in the neighboring Arab lands) and they have pretty much proved to the Israelis that they are not changing much. I expect there were all kinds of celebrations in the Palestinian areas about “finally” hitting back.

Too bad for them that they have been played as a sacrificial pawn by Iran and Putin.

Sorry, but if Israel had no intel on this, it's nonsensical to take the position we should have. Hamas kept off the phones. Used couriers. Did it the old-fashioned way. When your tactics involve little more than AK's and artillery rockets that fire from scrap metal launchers that they hope land somewhere in the general vicinity of the city they are pointed at, doesn't seem like it would be that hard to keep it all a secret.

To me, the mystery here is not so much that they were able to pull it off but that they decided to try. Israel is going to hunt them down and kill them all and Hamas will accomplish nothing. And, a lot of other innocent people are, unfortunately, going to die in the process. I guess maybe that's their goal. Keep the hate going for the next generation. Lunatics.

Of course Netanyahu and Trump were buddies, they both want to be dictators so they don't have to worry about justice for their crimes.

Being Netanyahu's buddy didn't keep Trump from exposing a highly-classified Israeli commando mission to Lavrov.

It is my understanding that Hamas is only slightly less popular in Israel than it is in Gaza, but hundreds of thousands are trapped in Gaza with them with no way out.

Let those who want to leave and I don't give a shit what Israel does to Hamas.

Hey Jeffie,

Simple answer. Money hasn't been paid? Deal off.

Israel is in such a difficult situation. Because the Jewish people were the victims of genocide, they certainly don't want to be accused of it.
But there seems to be a clear solution and they very may well do it. World would be a better place.

My nephew hosted a traveling group of Europeans that were all in their early 20's Two of them were Irish, one a Catholic and the other a Protestant. They were very good friends on the trip and laughed and clowned around with each other. Both admitted that back home this was both impossible and unthinkable.

I'm not sure what money you're talking about. The $6 billion we sanctioned in South Korea from oil sales then allowed to be transferred to accounts in Qatar where it can only be released for specified food and medical purchases?

None has been released, it's all still there.

The danger for Israel if they slaughter a bunch of civilians, which they don't really want to do, is placing themselves in the same strata with the Hamas murderers they are after. Close to half of the population of Gaza was born since the last election there so they certainly aren't responsible for Hamas having a role in the government there.

Jeffie,

Bullshit! Hamas hides behind civilians and won't engage on a military basis. Then they blame their opponents for the deaths of civilians ignoring the fact that they provoked the war by killing innocent civilians. Cowards. They need to be eliminated at whatever cost. Unfortunately, that probably means hostages, which they took, and their own people.

Israel HAS to keep that "cost" as low as possible, figuring out some way to get as many civilians as possible out of the way would pay huge dividends.

I don't disagree about waxing Hamas' ass.
