It's interesting to me, the situation with the student loans. There is a lot to that story. Most of my college expenses were paid for by the GI Bill. My parents paid for the college education for my siblings. Many if not most parents at the time could afford a home, get ahead, and pay for tuition from earnings from their job and maybe some savings. The change started mostly with Reagan.
