"Confidential" is one of those words with different meanings in different contexts. In general usage it means information that should not be spread around, but it is also a classification level for officially classified government information. Hegseth deny and blame the reporter implying the journalist is lying by calling him discredited. The claim the journalists is discredited is false. Beyond that falsehood the implication that Sec. Hegseth makes that this is not true is false. The NSC has confirmed it.
