Don’t worry about the steak, from now on they’ll be eating Alberta beef instead of that tough American gristle and shoe leather - no machete’s required.

I believe the ban is on samurai swords and machetes. regardless there is a point that society needs to stop banning items it sees as problems but rather fix the issues in society itself that creates the ill use. For 30 years or more young kiwi males have been warning each other that when they travel too the UK they have to behave differently in Bars and pubs, as too our surprise what would be no more than a fist fight in NZ quickly turns into a knife fight in the UK.

Grass fed or grain fed Saeed? Ausdsie and japan do a lot of grain fed. We do mostly grass. The perception is more flavour but slightly tougher with less marbling.

Government will always be scared of its citizens ( they don’t wanna loose power ) and that is why they will ban anything that they deem “ dangerous “ Also banning things is about control over their subjects so gov looks like they are doing things for people Same old concept since time immemorial Never been lost, just confused here and there for month or two

When it comes to meat preparation, most steaks that is if we talk of steaks is if you can, dry age them and then some good dry rub or seasoned with some good stuff including garlic and olive oil Then I prefer grilling it Of course most good steaks must come from younger animals Anyway… Never been lost, just confused here and there for month or two

we have to disagree even on that ... meat should speak by themselve not need to add extra favors unless you need to cover something ...

I agree a Med. A little sea salt, olive oil, sear while basting melted brown butter over. Just knock the cold off and eat. Everything cuts w a spoon. Dry Aged is overrated.

my wife likes salt, pepper, and garlic on her steaks --- your "opinions" have no impact on how i prep a steak, as she who must be obeyed (called swim-bo) rules the roost, and I cook steaks for HER, not someone IDK's ego ... for the record, what she THINKS is "medium rare' is blue in any restaurant opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Yawn, people can do what they want. Does not mean they are correct. Rub in olive oil Sea salt Sear while basting in melted butter Sometimes I’ll pouch in homemade clarified butter, chopped green onion, and garlic Remove and sear on a Hell hot cast or grill Again, serve rare.

my wife says "salt, pepper, garlic" .. and charcoal sear and cook.. literally nothing changes how i choose to cook steak past the wife's reco .. wrong? if one made it differently in MY HOUSE, it would be wrong .. see how that works? another's opinion has zero influence .. much like our opinions on politics .. sure, you are welcome to your opinion, doesn't change facts opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? One of the reasons I never went into the restaurant business. The first time someone ordered venison, lamb, beef over med rare, I’d throw them out. When you say garlic, do mean garlic powder, granulated garlic, or diced or sliced garlic rub on it in the basting?

There is no one size fits all, when it comes to steak. A steak you could cut with a spoon, would be to mushy for me. I like it to have a little texture. Not tough, but something to chew. I dont like double ground burger either. Cooked simply, with minimal added.

Have to agree on the double ground too. Though I loose out on that one because most of the women around here prefer double ground and I eat anything.

I’ll take a rare fallow or roe loin, lightly seared, with a little salt and pepper over pretty much anything else. And I’ll eat it with a knife.

I swear some of the farm workers I saw in Africa would chew up a tractor tire if it tasted like meat. I cannot for any reason know why anybody would care how trump likes his steak, Antelope. Does he live in your head 24/7?

Can’t say I’ve ever ate steak with a spoon. I’m with TB40 in that I’ve given up on filet/tenderloin in beef because it’s too mushy/soft. The flavor is a bigger issue to me. Well done meat just tastes of whatever seasonings you used to me. I can eat good beef without any seasonings, but usually like salt, pepper, and some garlic (I’m not that picky about the form of the garlic.) I’ve never had issues with buffalo meat being too chewy except when it’s overcooked. Of course, I’m involved in the recovery so I do get some say in what cut we eat… usually backstrap/rib eye. How you treat the meat makes quite a bit of difference in taste and texture but if the animal is eating or doing the wrong thing, it isn’t going to have much impact what you do. Mallards eating fish taste like crap no matter how you treat the meat…
