This is nothing on what the DFL in Minnesota cost the taxpayers. We had a huge (multibillion) dollar surplus. They pissed it all away and increased obligations while they were at it despite increased taxes and now we are in a deficit again. They gave rebates… to folks who didn’t pay in in the first place, and those of us who paid and made too much money (under $100,000) got zero. Then they f’ed around and didn’t do it in time so the folks who got the $ had to pay federal taxes on it. Walz was mad at Joe over that, but not mad enough to do anything. | |||
