You can tell if they are emaciated or not. The only contention I made if you would read.

A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

I stayed you could not tell those factors. You said I can tell if they are in “poor health.” Then you said body condition. You cannot judge body condition simply by looking at someone. I guess all the finless everywhere have the perfect physical body.

The answer is you cannot.

I stated I could judge "body condition." Body condition scoring is a method of evaluating fatness to thinness or emaciation.

In other words -- body condition scoring (BCS) system is used to assess body energy stores.

I stated nothing about health. Go back and read.

What would he do? Opening he only had two choices. How do we know he wasn't creative and did some other option. Was he so simple and that easy to read? If so, replacement would be easy.

Lane, Jesus would give the shirt off of his back to help anyone in need. In the modern world this would be those who emigrate to escape poverty, those who are homeless, those who cannot afford healthcare and yes he would oppose abortion too.

He wouldn’t operate some sort of triage system where he only helps the worst cases, and sorry you don’t get help is you have a bottle in a brown bag.

I believe he would give whatever he has, everything he has, to help anyone in need regardless of the cause of that need.

He “might” have said lay down your bottle. But, I am on record in my other thread of saying “build camps…let them keep their drug.”

Agreed in the general words above.

Defining “help” is what is difficult. There is a time in which “help” can become the temptation.

He could also perform a miracle, cure the guy’s substance use problem, and help him get on with life.

We are not God.

While we can provide some help, our abilities are finite and in many cases, true improvement can only come from within.
