Unlikely, given the course of technology, Social media is an insidious dual-use technolog. It could be an ITAR issue except for that pesky First Amendment to our Constitution. The problem is not so much "alternative facts" but the importance ascribed to them. Often enough, the most contentious issues have little importance in our day-to-day lives.
