Three days ago:

“I would never discourage the former president from testifying, because quite honestly, our plan up until now was to have him testify, he always wanted to testify and he should testify,” Habba said. “When he has nothing to hide, it’s the best thing you could do is put this great witness on that is going to stand up and tell you the truth.”

Today:

“I will not be testifying on Monday,” Trump wrote in an all-capital-letters, multipart statement on his Truth Social platform less than 20 hours before he was to take the witness stand. “I have already testified to everything & have nothing more to say,” Trump added.

He's learning...

Listen to your lawyers.

Apparently with his successes at the appellate level, his attorneys feel good about what is there so far... or at least feel that if he testifies it is worse than if it is left as it is...

. . . his lawyer wanted him to testify.

Next to the definition of lying piece of shit in the dictionary is a picture of Trump.

If he by some miracle wins the Republican primary and you vote for him, you are one dumb son of a bitch. Just saying.

He's had successes at the appellate level?

As for him testifying it wouldn't have changed anything either way. His liability was already decided, this is just the penalty phase involving numbers, which he has amply demonstrated he's incapable of grasping or telling the truth about.

This is the guy Dr. Easter type Christians support:

Trump on Saturday described how all of his political advisers, except Steve Bannon, encouraged him to drop out of the 2016 race after the video surfaced. Trump claimed that an unnamed general told him the "locker room talk" explanation he gave was the "bravest thing I've ever seen" over witnessing people die on the battlefield.

I repeat keep folks who would support, vote for the above in any capacity out of political power by legal means and debate.

No doubt that Trump is toxic.

But listening to the news lately, Biden isn’t any better.

I dearly hope the GOP can get its act together and get someone other than Trump… and I could care less about his asinine social media behavior. Yes, the democrats played games with impeachment against him, and lost.

But his post election record isn’t a positive.

His election promises (and I do remember him as being very straightforward with following through on his promises to the best of his ability) show that he would be useless as POTUS. He would be mired in internal squabbles and be looking for revenge instead of accomplishing squat.

From a pragmatic standpoint we should be running away from the guy as conservatives. He will accomplish none of what he wants to do, and will damage conservatives going forward.

Same for the democrats.

Biden is toxic to them as well.

Whichever side gets its act together first will come out ahead.

If neither do, the Dems promise largesse to the masses and will win, but it will likely be close.

I can only imagine.

I too am about as Texan as they come. My family homesteaded in Comanche territory just west of Fort Richardson in the 1870’s. Family still owns the homestead and been ranching, farming, with a little oil-field thrown in for extra cash ever since.

"Traditional America" is racist America. It is "White" controlled and dominated America.

It is NOT Christian America as those behaviours were never endorsed by Jesus. They were in fact condemned by Jesus.

White Evangelical America is a CULTURAL entity and has nothing to do with Christian FAITH.

Naki,
I am going to break my rule and respond to you. I have never read anything Jesus even mentioned about race except that everyone is a child of God and He loves all.

Christ does speak of servants in His words often. Never does He even rebuke the system of having servants other than to tell masters to treat their servants well.

This brings the point that God is not really worried about your position on earth. Our lives amount to milliseconds in the scheme of eternity.

Life is not meant to be easy but a test. A test in which He wants to see your work…not just the answer.

trump never pays his lawyers.

And, if attorney's fees are recoverable from the losing side in this case, trump has already lost. This trial is about damages only. Separate issue from attorney's fees.

Jesus actually asked SLAVES to serve their master and MASTERS to treat slaves fairly / kindly.

Race = ethnicity & the Good Samaritan story is my point.

Your claims to being a Christian are purely CULTURAL and not of FAITH. Your absolute HATRED of anything that is not Far Right is evidence.

There is NO TEACHING in the Bible that supports the Far Right and its strategy of spreading falsehood to brain wash the masses.

You were blindly supporting Trump. then you defended him despite his immoral criminality. Now you are again prepared to vote for him!

Those are NOT CHRISTIAN VALUES.

Exactly as I said.

Race = ethnicity & the Good Samaritan story is my point.

The parable of the good Samaritan had nothing to do with race or ethnicity. It was about treating one’s neighbor as one would wish to be treated.

Your claims to being a Christian are purely CULTURAL and not of FAITH.

For you to even suggest such is certainly proof you don’t even understand what it means to be a Christian.

Your absolute HATRED of anything that is not Far Right is evidence.

I do not hate people. I do hate sin.

There is NO TEACHING in the Bible that supports the Far Right and its strategy of spreading falsehood to brain wash the masses.

This is a hair brain statement in itself.

You were blindly supporting Trump.

I support him as superior to the alternative.

then you defended him despite his immoral criminality. Now you are again prepared to vote for him!

And still do.

Those are NOT CHRISTIAN VALUES.

One of my points in my initial response. Jesus devolves himself almost completely of politics altogether and especially of politicians. Policy of life though He has an opinion on. He rarely chose the most saintly in man’s eye to do his work either.

LOL. What a load of hogwash. I am not surprised coming from you.

Jesus' teaching about loving your neighbour INCLUDES race / ethnicity.

I know that your Traditional America as it used to be "Christian" values did not include Blacks as humans, equals or neighbours. Your teachings in Church even claimed that Blacks were the decendents of the murderer Cain.

Look at what the Souther Baptist church is today - they have expelled Saddleback church because they appointed a woman pastor!

You claim that you hate sin and yet you consider Trump as superior to Biden, Obama etc! How can you claim that a serial philanderer, fraudster and rapist is superior to anyone else?

Your response only confirms that you are NOT a man of FAITH but purely of Far Right POLITICAL CULTURE

While not being religious in anyway. I live in a country where its at least impossible to not understand What Christianity is meant to mean.

In that respect I can not help but notice that between Lane and Naki, One has taken the time to respectfully lay out and explain his position.

The other has used his time to attack the individual and insult his belief system.

One of those is far more indicative of a person who abides by their belief system than the other.

LOL. What a load of hogwash. I am not surprised coming from you.

Roll Eyes

Jesus' teaching about loving your neighbour INCLUDES race / ethnicity.

All people are God’s children Naki…that is a given.

I know that your Traditional America as it used to be "Christian" values did not include Blacks as humans, equals or neighbours.

Not in my lifetime. And as already stated and agreed upon by you…Jesus never condemned slavery…not that I am advocating for slavery. Just saying, this has little to do with Christianity. Jesus never rebuked masters for owning slaves.

Your teachings in Church even claimed that Blacks were the decendents of the murderer Cain.

I am not sure where you are coming up with this as my teaching is based solely on Scripture.

Look at what the Souther Baptist church is today - they have expelled Saddleback church because they appointed a woman pastor!

I know nothing of the Southern Baptist Church.

You claim that you hate sin and yet you consider Trump as superior to Biden, Obama etc! How can you claim that a serial philanderer, fraudster and rapist is superior to anyone else?

Let he withOUT sin cast the first stone.

Your response only confirms that you are NOT a man of FAITH but purely of Far Right POLITICAL CULTURE

Your continued attack on my faith tells me you do not even understand what it means to be of Christian faith. Maybe consider checking your eye for a plank.
