If you guys want a "western" thats a bit different, then Roger Donaldsons UTU is worth a watch.

Its very analogous too a US western. Native tribes seeking independence and others siding with the europeans to settle age old beefs, while the English look down on the colonials.
Its dark and foreboding country the movie is set in. But also has some very kiwi and Maori humour.
