You've probably overlooked a lot of political opponents, Comrade. But you're thinking like your glorious leader.

We don’t need more of the lawfare from the other side. Look what doing that got the democrats.

Lawfare does not exist. The Justice application of due process is not the same as calling for lynchings. Trump is president elect and be vested as President at the inauguration. That fact does not change who he is. I would give difference to the election and pardon him to close the book.

If you don’t think that politics plays a role in prosecutions and how due process is handled, given the whole business of absolute prosecutorial discretion, you are either obtuse or not paying attention.

You have demonstrated, you do not know how prosecutorial discretion works nor when it is applied. For example HRC was not discretion. It was a mandate of law based on DOJ assessment of controlling precedent based on the facts. Trump’s prosecutions are not abuse of discretion. They are equal application of the law given his conduct. The perception is the opposite. Perception is reality in politics. So be it. He could, in theory, be impeached on day one for being a convicted felon. I would end the whole matter w pardons.

You are right that pardons end the situation. It’s a bad optic for Trump to pardon himself. If Biden wishes to do so, that might help the country moving forward, but a lot of folks feel Trump did nothing wrong, including himself. Would Trump accept a pardon? I don’t know. It certainly would be an olive branch from Biden. Kind of like how Trump commuting or pardoning Hunter would be. I’m not going to hold my breath on either happening, but I don’t disagree with you that a pardon might lead to some healing. I’m not sure how that impacts the NYS issues though.
