The trouble is, trump admires putin. Did you see him waiting for vlad to walk over? He looked like your Labrador Retriever when she sees you drive up after a long day at work. He wants people to be afraid of him. He wants to eliminate checks and balances. He wants to be like vlad.

I have been somewhat more hopeful by Trump’s public statements as of late in whole.

Trump obviously reflects the last person he spoke to.

Putin only needs for him to not arm Ukraine with heavy weapons, and to put pressure on Zelensky.
He owes Trump nothing. Do I correctly remember reading that Russia has very little federal debt?

yes on all accounts and yes russia has really not that much debt generated abroad as they borrow mostly to the russian central bank and luckily they were selling a lot of oil and gas ... among other things ...
