I see this argument over and over again. Apparently, if you are a world leader worried about climate change, you are required to travel by wagon train.

It's cute and pithy and, it's stupid.

He's leading in the polls, with any luck he'll be our next prime minister.

Supposedly leading by example is what we require from leaders?
I think that’s damn good idea

When covid hit, we all had to lock down. we were told to treat it seriously, and by and large we did. we might not have all liked it. but we treated it seriously and found ways to do business, conduct meetings and talk too our families. All from our homes.

Is Climate change worse? is it a bigger existential threat to humanity that the virus we survived?

Because if it is, then a politician who actually says, no im staying home and will be there on line might just be the wake up call needed.

If anyone even thinks, for one second, that a politician makes sense, one is just too stupid to vote! clap

I do not see any reason for the Prime Minister of Canada to be giving speeches in the Stste of New York.

I do wonder at how much of the world travel is part of politicking for the voters at home.
look popular with world leaders to be popular with your voters. I mean we have the crazy situation where our leaders regularly show up on shows like Colbert.
