You need to work on those reading comp skills. The Navy has had numerous incidents of driving subs into terrain, other ships and docks. My Navy bros tell me the entire lot are infested with activist gays and trans folk. They are driving decent commanders out. Therefore, misteps don't surprise me. History shows black segregation was created by white racist Democrats, not Republicans. In case you forgot. Blacks have been advantaged for the last 40 years in hiring. I was a hiring manager during that time and I can attest to it.

Wherever you get humans controlling complex systems, you have potential for error. Tech malfunctions too. Id say the overall system and levels of competence are pretty damn high. This is not a common occurrence. Yep shouldn't happen but once in a while it will. Hell our navy just sunk one of its own ships after confusion on the bridge over a new auto pilot system. | |||

At first they were saying it had just taken off from the carrier… now midair refueling mission… The Navy is not looking too good by not being able to get the story right in the first place. I’m glad the pilot and crew are safe. I’m sure the navy will run a full investigation. What I’m not so sure of is if the accurate results will be given to the public, especially if some admiral ordered an exception of protocol, but the navy will know internally. | |||

A black friend of mine was the reactor operator on a nuclear submarine. He got there by way of 160 IQ, yanked right out of basic and plunked into Rickover's Navy. At a company that can remain un-named, I saw a black kid hired into a job they knew he couldn't do, maybe just to prove a point. He wasn't supported, and he failed as expected. It wasn't always like that, there. I know of another black kid who flourished, years earlier. He was, and is still, exceptional and didn't need a lot of help. We don't have enough information, either way to say so. We do have examples that the Navy is having more and more problems with command oversight since Obama took office- whether that is due to increased visibility with the internet and news availability, or if it is something more sinister, we just don't know. Heck, they may actually be having less trouble, but it just doesn't look that way in the cheap seats.
