An estimated 84 million people in the US alone watched the Super Bowl on television this year. It was also broadcast in 130 countries and 30 languages. By the way, an estimated 10 million Canadian viewers (including French RDS viewership) watched it this year.

Taylor Swift is a marketing boon for the league… not much of a football issue.

The TV coverage is more about marketing and money than the game. Depends on if you are more a fan of the game or more of the culture of the country.

I enjoy the game. It was one of the more competitive superbowls.

The constant attention to Swift took away from my enjoyment of the game. Not enough to stop watching, not enough to make me mad given I know that there were probably 1000 teenage girls watching because of her for every one guy like me. That’s the Super Bowl… it’s more a national cultural event than a game now. Heck they keep bringing up that it should be a holiday the Monday after because too many partyers sick out on the following day…

It’s not about the game.
