But wait, there’s more!

Coming soon, we’ll be offering official “Grab ‘em By the Pussy!” G-strings, pre-scented by a porn star near you!

One special G-string worn by Stormy Daniels herself will be auctioned to support the fund to defend Criminal #1. May or may not contain Presidential DNA!

There is a very real possibility that these are $18 Temu sneakers with stickers added.

Helluva markup, but many buying them [if anyone does] will still complain about the price of gas and groceries. What do they think that he is going to do to rein in prices? He doesn't have any secret formula/s that nobody else has. Sure things were better before COVID, but was that because of him or in spite of him?

Except for the few pairs they brought out as samples it's all "pre-sales", pay now, maybe get garishly tacky shoes later.

There is also probably sales tax and shipping costs. I wonder how much of the $399 he collects as a royalty.

All of it, I’d bet - he’s famous for never paying his bills. Some poor Chinese shoe supplier is going to learn the hard way.

The man should try using his own cologne. Lots of reports of him having a very distinctive and disgusting body order. Come to think of it, maybe he using the cologne he sells.

Several years ago my wife, as a joke, bought me several bottles of the wine being sold by Trump. The stuff was positively putrid.

Most of the art I've ever seen sold brought, to me, crazy amounts so I simply didn't buy it.

It really looks like these are being drop-shipped by a Chinese supplier and the few sold at the sneaker convention were likely pre-production samples.

Also a good chance they'll lose every penny for trademark infringement:

By the way, I'm with you on the Land's End button downs. Excellent shirts. I wear them every day.

Their khakis are also very good.

Are you going to be ordering some gold tennis shoes from the trump collection? Maybe one of them Lucha Libre wrestling masks that jeffe posted up to match?

Your point being that you would make a decision based on your ethics not to make money when you could.

While it shows Trump is not above using anything to make a buck, its not "foolish" or dumb for him to do so, its more beneath what you would expect of a president to market in such a fashion.

The folks I feel are foolish are the folks who will pay Trump $9000 for a chintzy sneaker and a photo op that does nothing for them other than maybe the hope that Trump will consider them a good fellow.

'We are not liable': Fine print says Trump gold sneakers won't ship for months
Story by David Edwards • 1d

=============================================

It's the same as that fake university and the real estate scams.

=============================================

Anyway, the justifications/rationalizations above from Trump apologists says a lot about ethics.

The rationale is somewhat like blaming the victim. In this case, though, the suckers deserve what they get, IMO.

It's like saying "if they can be conned, that's what they deserve".

Or, "a sucker is around every corner".

Or, "if one con man doesn't get their money, another one will".

"Ripe for plucking"

It would be funny, sort of, if it was just another scam. But this scammer is running his grift on an entire nation and political party. This sneaker thing is just a tidbit.

*************
Real conservatives aren't radicalized. Thus "radicalized conservative" is an oxymoron. Yet there are many radicalized republicans.

"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." - Sinclair Lewis

Per my far-right friend: "reality sucks"

D.J. Trump aka Trumpism's Founding Farter, aka Farter Martyr. Qualifications: flatulence - mental, oral and anal.
