Speaker Liz Cheney - Road To The White House Login/Join

The Democrats trust Liz Cheney. The moderate Republicans trust Liz Cheney. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZdsSDe95_A She has the right credentials.

1. She never sucked Trump's d*ck
2. She never kissed his ass.
3. She believes in, and will follow the Constitution.
4. She can handle the MAGA traitors and morons
5. She would cut Trump loose to drowned in his own hubris.

I think her performance as Speaker could vault her into the White House.

If she ran as a Republican, the MAGA fools who don't think, just ride for the brand, would have to vote for her. She could beat both Trump and Biden.

So that raises a question.

Trust?

Why is it that most republicans in the House "Trust" Gym Jordon? Although he doesn't (yet) have the votes to be Speaker, they nominated him with expectations.

Trust him to do what? Why is he trustworthy for some?

If they were really doing their job, they would eject Gym Jordon from office under the 14th sec 3, by 2/3 vote, since he's an obvious insurrectionist. Instead, they want to elevate him to Speaker.

Cheney would be fine by me… but I don’t think she would get a majority even if democrats were freed to vote for her if they wished. The Darth Cheney remembrance is still strong on the left. She certainly wouldn’t get half the republican vote as she has backstabbed too many in the party aside from just the Trump part of it.

What you are really seeing is a third party.

The Republican Party and the Trump party are a coalition in effect. They are fighting amongst themselves, and unless the democrats are willing to bend it will stay that way.

Hakeem Jefferies is not an option.

Get a real moderate democrat and … maybe.

If the Dems would support a moderate GOP type, it would probably be over.

As it is, the Trumpies are cutting their nose off to spite their face. They may well win the speaker battle, but they have significantly reduced the chances that the GOP will retain control of the house.

The Republicans keep yelling at the Democrats; "Save us! Save us!" The MAGA Morons won't even support a moderate Republican, why is it the Democrats responsibility to elect a Republican speaker?

The Republican Party is a complete shit-show thanks to Donald Trump and his MAGA Morons.

"Extremely" but not extreme? Somehow the distinction seems difficult to sort out. Where is the line?

We know the republicans have a large extreme faction. Maybe the dividing line can be IDed where the extremists won't vote for the "Extremely Conservative". Eeker

The worst thing that happened to the United States in my lifetime is the conduct of the War on Terror as directed by Dick Cheney.

I don't hate the guy, nor do I hate "W" or consider either evil or war criminals or any of that stuff, I just consider them failures as "Rulers".

I like Liz just fine, I appreciate her opposition to Trump, but I am very leery of the pedigree of anyone that has Cheney listed.

If this is your measurement, well, it explains so many things -- like your charming statement of "close enough"

to almost everyone else, she's a RINO, which is why some on the left might consider her for speaker

I don't know a single Democrat who trusts Liz Cheney.

Her singular claim to fame was to do the absolute minimum her Oath required, which was far too much for MAGA Republicans but still a bare minimum.

She is a Republican and not to be trusted.

The literal HEAD of the DNC, then Speaker Pelosi, trusted her enough to be on the Jan 6th committee --

Being among the least shitty Republicans available doesn't equal "trusted".

I would bet good money that Cheney would not vote that way after what happened on January 6th.

All thinking Republicans should have abandoned Trump after January 6th. Those that didn't are American traitors.

The single biggest outright liar in the bunch, and she doesn't have any real competition.

She doesn't lie because she's a woman, at this point I think it's a habit.

You would need to have a point for anybody to prove it.

Like Trump, The War on Drugs as well as Immigration is a domestic problem. We've all seen obvious and practical solutions to the above, we just haven't exerted the will to succeed and we could succeed unilaterally.

OTOH, terrorism and Islamic terrorism is an international threat America doesn't have the final authority over. As DRG mentioned, France is in the throwes of terror, Belgium too. My fellow Americans have elected to office the likes of Omar from Minnesota and Tlab of Michigan who are obvious terrorist supporters. It blows my mind that the Western World has surrendered to and then lovingly embraced terrorist Islam in our towns, Universities, Legislatures so soon after 9/11. Must be the "MTV" influence.

Even if The United States were to put their foot down to Islamic Terrorism, Canada, Mexico, and all of Western Europe won't due to the already saturation.

I'm glad the Fuckers don't like the ice and blowing sideways rain of Dillingham.

Our government is full of spoiled, loud mouthed children. Nothing good happens. Nothing happens unless it is funding some other country with tax dollars. They fact that they cannot work together and put away destructive ideologies is disappointing.

There is clearly no desire to solve problems in the homeland.

Correct. It's amazing how much credibility she gets from Dems and liberals just because she states the obvious: that trump is a shitbird.

She'd be a terrible president. It would be like electing Dick Cheney.

I know I wouldn't agree with some of her policies, but I like her spirit, nerve, and independence. She sacrificed her career to do what was right. I know Lane won't understand.

I'd vote for her ahead of Biden, which I wouldn't say for some of the other GOPers.
