You beat me to it. Break Dancing?

Summertime in AK means I've got a whole lot better things to do than sit and watch break dancing on the tv.

Well, I am proud of the US Olympic team. The fact that something silly like breakdancing was included this year doesn't and shouldn't tarnish the efforts and accomplishments of all the other US athletes.

I do wonder what might have been if Russia had been represented…

Also, ex British colonies along with the UK out medaled the USA.

I do agree that the number of questionable sports involved are somewhat excessive.

Why not have auto racing and video game playing?

Aside from that the individuals all excelled in their chosen events.

One thing I’ve wondered is if they removed national identity in the Olympics what would happen?

Some of you really need to search hard for a happy spot in life. Sheesh. Shooting in the Olympics? Seriously? Table tennis? Really? Badminton? For real? They are all interesting and highly competitive. I enjoyed watching the Olympics and many of the newer additions as well were entertaining. I honestly think some of you would complain if you were hung with a new rope.

Russia was represented competing as neutrals because of their invasion of Ukraine. I think they won 15 medals. It's not the same old CCCP, eh?

I watched bits and pieces throughout.
One stood out to me.
Gabby Thomas.
She always had a smile and seemed full of joy to be there.
A gold medal winner, young enough to compete again next time. Seemed a very sweet, beautiful young woman. I hope she makes a jillion dollars in endorsements.

It was interesting but I didn’t go out of my way to watch it. You have to give credit to those taking part though, it must be great to be recognised as being the best after years of training and commitment.

I prefer the Winter Olympics.
