So - only the POTUS and his AG can now interpret the law? Did I hear that right?

He has instructed DOJ to terminate all Biden era U.S. attorneys. “We must clean house”.

Does that mean the coup is complete and the dictatorship established, or are there still some impediments to his omnipotence?

It took Hitler 58 days, it looks like Trump is going to beat that record. Once again “Nobody has ever seen anything like it!” Roll Eyes

Oh! And last, but probably not least, now he’s claiming Ukraine started the war…and Russia is entitled to claim Ukrainian territory because they lost a lot of men fighting for it.

I’ll let you MAGAts do the analyses, I think I better get back to the loading bench.

The good, competent people are being run out of government; even if not fired, why stay working somewhere where excellence doesn't count, just loyalty to the Great Leader? Competent people usually have options.

Veteran Democratic Party strategist James Carville is reportedly furious about the direction the party is headed, expressing to colleagues: “I dedicated the best years of my f-cking life to this party, only to see it taken over by a bunch of stupid motherfu-kers. Everything’s gone to sh-t.”

Carville is especially livid following the DNC leadership election, reportedly saying, “Who are these people? This David Hogg guy and that other sissy (referring to Malcolm Kenyatta) come out of goddamn left field. Well, there goes the male vote forever. Thanks guys! We’re f-cked and we deserve it.”

The only truth in that statement is that competent people have options. Thus the competent are rarely in government to begin with as there are always more lucrative options — unless you are a lazy crook.

Any thoughts on cutting the ethanol program and your corn subsidies?

Turns out you’re right - a tradition started by Dubya, apparently.

Any comments re: the other two points?

It's normal for all US Attorneys to tender their resignations to a new POTUS.

Yes. I think they should be cut and so do lots of farmers. You can lump this under renewable energy subsidies. Wind solar etc. And deep six them all. This will end growing corn where it shouldn’t be grown. Colorado comes to mind.

Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, much of Iowa. I'm sure I am forgetting some.

You know that won't happen though, the farm lobby is way too strong. Grassley would never allow it. We are talking billions yearly. It is not going anywhere.

Illinois grows more corn than Iowa does. Indiana grows a lot too. It's like Coke and Pepsi. It's only redeeming value is that it keeps people employed. The plant near me sucks up millions of gallons of water and burns a shit ton of coal. They should have feedlots next to the plants so that they don't have to waste resources drying and hauling the fermentation byproduct/distiller's grain.

Give me a home where the buffalo roam and I'll show you a house full of buffalo shit.

No shit, and rice in the Central Valley, where water has to be delivered in a canal (where it doesn't pool naturally in a flood).
