I lived forty-three years in Anchorage, AK, which is more diverse and cosmopolitan than Northern Idaho. But I've never heard of referring to a brown person as a "coconut."

I have never heard a person of color referred to as a “coconut” in a derogatory matter.

I assume the coconut is in reference to her Jamaican heritage.

In the assumption, the coconut is meant to underscore her Jamaican lineage, the cover is in bad taste and demeaning. The cover underscores the lack of perception by those involved. There is really nothing good about the cover.

The cartoony imagery and even the headline are stupid.

I am sure every body who has been affected by racial prejudice to racial injustice is glad to know Lavaca is tied of hearing about race.

I am sure Briana Taylor’s family (who the cops lied upon the affidavit for the search warrant), the family of George Floyd, and the families of the Buffalo NY York mass murder targeting African Americans are made whole by Lavaca’s pronouncement. That these clear examples of ethnic based injustice has been made less likely to happen now Lavaca has told us he is tried of hearing about race.

We need to make sure the State of Alabama who was found by the S. Ct. in 2023 to have racially gerrymandered African American voters out of their vote for decades knows all is good. That Lavaca is tried of hearing about it.

The discussion is really ethnicity as we only have one race.
