I would not vote to confirm her because of her position on President Trump’s unconstitutional Executive Order, and I do not believe being the Governor of South Dakota is qualifying.

I have to admit that I find cosmetic procedures to be a little off-putting. Where women got the idea that having lips like a red horse sucker is attractive, I don't know, but it is an idea which caught on. She was a fairly attractive person who chose to alter her appearance. I'd bet looks are an unspoken about criterion for trump. She's sort of attractive I suppose, but remember his comment about really not wanting to be associated with wounded vets because it would make him look bad.

Just back from hunting wild birds in Nebraska, not many out there but we managed a couple everyday. I have had bird dogs for nearly 30 years, they take work. City folks your ass, I grew up rural and live rural today. It is apologists like you that have no clue.

We just got in from duck and goose hunting 3 geese, 2 ring necks, great retrieves with no barking, breaking, or fussing.

Noem has a bunch of warts. Pretty much anyone with experience will.

But the other side is people without experience are often more potentially dangerous because you don’t know what you are agreeing to.

Noem has run a state and the state has been run well. Admittedly it was a small state and it does not have some of the underlying problems that other states have.

I have no issue with approving Noem, but I’m not blind to her faults and I’m certainly not ignorant of the fact that she was chosen because she was a supporter of Donald Trump. Trump won the presidency. It’s a given that his nominees will be his supporters. The question is is Noem unqualified? I don’t think so. She’s ran a bureaucracy successfully. Does she have some opinions that I don’t like? Yes. I don’t like her bragging up having to put down underperforming livestock. It’s a character flaw.

Still, everyone has flaws. She’s ran a government despite that. She is relatively popular in her old constituency. Sounds like she’s capable.

If she starts abusing her position, boot her out- but after Biden’s folks abusing her position is going to be a pretty high bar to surmount.

Thing is, who is qualified?

Republican candidates are qualified; Democratic candidates are not.

Someone who has been in CBP for decade or decade or two riding through the ranks would be qualified in my book.

Or a career civil servant at State Department who has been assigned to help formulate relationships, policy concerning Mexico.

Or even a Border State Governor or AG.

Those are the 3 areas I would have looked at for qualified.

Is she qualified? She is qualified per the Constitution of the United States. Sadly, despite all this merit talk coming from this President, she is a DEI hire from the other end. That his what you get when we elect someone that does not care about our or experience. Her qualifications extend to bring willing to say, “ Yes Sir. That is great,” concerning Trump’s unconditional executive order. She is either too ignorant of the position to reject it, or she knows better and does not care.

Her only qualification is being a vocal Trump supporter.

And Mo, I do not believe a good cabinet is filled with yes sirs.


The fact she defended the Executive Order to the Senate makes her unfit.

Both examples are typical of their parties.

Totally incompetent at their jobs, just for clueless voters benefit!

Governors became presidents, senators became presidents and vice presidents
Hell, regular Joes became senators and members of House of Representatives and governors etc…

We’ll see how new administration will work together and lead this nation into maybe brighter future
