The article does not indicate if failure to comply carries a criminal sanction.

You would be surprised how often laws require an act, but do not provide a penalty.

Wrong.

If he violated the rules, he should be held accountable.

As should all of them.

Why should Supreme Court Justices follow rules when their job is to decide what the rules are for the rest of us?

If we had an actual Attorney General instead of a Federalist Society toady Thomas would be looking at forfeiture of every ill-gotten nickel.

If Thomas has violated the law…do y’all believe Roberts would allow his court to be tainted with that without instituting some investigation/disciplinary action.

While the optics are bad…it is still unclear to me that Thomas has actually violated a statute. I believe had he…John Roberts would try to clean it up.

Merrick Garland is a Federalist Society toady?

Just asking for clarification.

I looked that up. nada.

Maybe, just maybe, that's why he's not being prosecuted.

Persecuted - yes.

Reread the special counsel report.

Biden did wrong, apparently knowingly. But he’s now unable to be prosecuted because he’s too senile.

You all missed your chance…

“Trump did this, but he’s unable to be prosecuted by virtue of mental defect” would have made him a laughingstock. Like HRC and Biden.

what's your search engine? the search on msnbc?

Hur's report clearly shows ole joe broke the law - but, alas, we'll never know because, for SOME (25a) reason, he shouldn't face a judge --

you can't find it on a search engine ... what a canard

Well, I did find what you are talking about on trusted PBS:

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/p...classified-documents

I don't see the words "broke the law". I do see that "no criminal charges are warranted".

Meanwhile:

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/p...back-other-deadlines

Trump’s classified documents trial won’t be delayed but federal judge moves back other deadlines

Where's the problem?

ME,
I assume we can agree that the evidence shows that Biden was in illegal possession of classified documents?

And, I assume that you would agree that the report clearly stated that it concluded he was in illegal possession?

If both assumptions are correct (which again I am assuming as right now I haven’t written you off as insane) we can all agree that Biden did indeed break the law and Jeffe is correct in his statements.

I read the exec summary: https://d3i6fh83elv35t.cloudfr...ur-february-2024.pdf

I didn't see the word "illegal".

I did see "no criminal charges are warranted in this matter".

Granted - the word "improper" is closer to correct.

The Law in question requires a showing of intent, which Hur explicitly states there's no evidence of. Therefore, no violation.

That's like saying Charles Manson was unable to be prosecuted due to his mental defects.

It's far simpler with Biden - intent is the six-letter word that is not present with Biden, but very much is with Trump.

Mental defect is just a talking point narrative regarding Biden, because you got nothing else.

Neither Hur's responsibility as a Special Counsel nor his professional qualifications in any way equip him to opine on the President's ability to do his job, and his gratuitous attempt to do so demonstrates why Trump appointed him U.S. Attorney.

He's a Republican hatchet man.

dude, your paranoia is pretty amazing, you might talk to the VA about it -- where you think Hur, Appointed by Garland, where Garland was OBama's choice for scotus, is a republican agent -- i meant, okay, dude, take a pill, get a room with padded walls, and scream until it passes -- they have padded rooms in peckerwood county?
