Don’t confuse Scott King w facts. We had almost zero U.S. Personnel presence in Afghanistan when the Taliban regime was defeated. We had couple thousand US forces when we withdrew. The U.S. with that commitment prevented Afghanistan from being a failed state. It was not perfect, but much more open than the new Taliban regime. Afghanistan and Iraq prove yuh cannot only kill yourself out of this problem. The answer is security as Lea e is not achievable. Israel’s actions are making them less secure. | |||

Germany surrendered because the country was completely overrun, culminating with the Russians taking Berlin and Hitler killing himself. They didn't surrender because of any fire-bombing. Same thing with Japan. Surrender was the result of dropping two atomic bombs on them. We had previously fire-bombed multiple Japanese cities with no surrender forthcoming. Even after the atomic attacks, there were plenty of Japanese who wanted to continue the war. | |||
