So some famous tennis player was denied entry to compete in the USA because he doesn't have a shot passport. Is this true?

MILLIONS of illegals have been let in with no shots!

Yes very true.

Even Australia relented and allowed him to compete.

But, America, being medically run by Fauci, he is banned!

Another silly fact about what once was a great country! clap

Your outrage is stale. He was first denied entry months, if not years, ago.

Because Europe is not in control over here, that's why. I don't give a damn what their rules are unless I'm going there. Which I will do in May, to Ireland. I am fully vaxxed & carrying proof if they want it. It's their rules then.

Ive been to 5 other countries since the start of the year, none of them required anything. If they had I would have given them what they asked for ... their countries, their rules.

Because YOUR opinion on it's validity is worthless. They can do as they wish, so can the US.

I believe it is common knowledge now that the initial vaccines have a period of effectiveness hence the need for boosters.
I do not know of anyone that actually received a booster.
I would expect the initial vaccines effective life has worn off not unlike a flu shot.
The COVID topic has run its course and seldom brought to the media front.
I would agree that our country has guidelines but it seems a little overboard since most of the population is not effectively vaccinated any longer and the virus has not rebounded.
In a thread here a month ago it was discussed that herd immunity has taken larger position in controlling the initial virus.
All I know is that it appears no longer a topic of discussion in general.
My daughter in law is in a pediatric practice.
They are tending to other virus's and challenges these days. COVID never mentioned there
Run its course.
Probably be worth unlocking the gates.
Fentynol and Opoids are the hot topic now.

Biden has a subset of constituents who are still desperately afraid of Covid and there are many who think the vaccine stops spread who vote.

I don’t think that the Covid vaccine in and of itself should be used as a litmus test because it’s not a scientifically proven protection to the population of the US. Our laws should both have a reasonable purpose and accomplish said purpose. I don’t think mandating a Covid vaccine and further, selectively enforcing it is an example of the will of American society.

Is it a legal rule, and can we mandate it? Sure.

We could also mandate that to come into the US you need to paint your face hot pink to pass through customs… but it serves no point.

Personally, if I’d make the kind of money that tennis player does for appearing at a tournament, I’d get the damn shot. It’s his choice not to and forgo the money.

That doesn’t change the fact that the rule really doesn’t accomplish anything.

Also from another point of view, he brought the nonsense to the surface and in front of public, which I think people were not much aware of thus created conundrum for US president
