I know quite a few of the fellows that have been here forever were friends with Jimmy. He didn't post much in the last few years, as he lost his sight. Still, we're sad to see him go. What a great guy. I spent countless days in the field with him and consider his family my family. For the last 30 years, we joked how smoking was going to kill him. It took a while, but this morning it did. He had been hospitalized for a week or so before passing, and once the results came back with how rough of shape he was in, he went home to be with his dogs and daughter. I hope I'm as brave to face death without the futile clinging onto hope that just prolongs agony and drains bank accounts.

It is sad when longtime members pass away and for many of us, food for thought as time marches on. I don't see jimmyd223 in the members directory, maybe he deleted his profile when he couldn't post anymore (if it is possible to delete?). Just wondering what his interests were when posting.
