I just ran across the International Lawnsteel Shooters Association. The word needs to spread. Shooting accurate handguns from lawn chairs in good-natured competition with "congenial associates" sounds pretty good to me!

Looks like fun Bill. I still recall how to drop, roll, fix sling,+ fire prone, as well as the other positions but sometimes 'fun shooting is in order'.As I commented on the "Fun Shooting" forum,we would take down shotgun hulls stacked vertically one at a time while standing on one foot while patting yourself on the head with your off hand. Of course, beer was involved but in hindsight, it was a very good exercise in marksmanship in diverse circumstanses.May be BS but it helped everyone to be a better shot.

An addendum to my last post. about 45 years ago we used to have turkey shoots sponsored by the local F.D.I loved the event + the camaraderie. One old gent showed up with his M1 Garand, dropped to the deck, assumed the sling + fired off 3 rounds; got up, took his turkey + went home.I like to pride myself as a good shot (don't we all?)but these old gents from "The Great Generation" need to be remembered + respected.

Bill, as I posted once before back in college days (in the dark ages) we were poor. At home (apt.) pleasure shooting involved priming a case then stuff the neck into paraffin ala cookie cutter then put a bit of honey on a copy of Moby Dick, sit across the room + shoot flies when they landed.

Never mistake motion for action.
