There's a guy arguing on another forum that he shot a bear out of a tree with a 175 grain corelock from his 7 magnum through the brain. The bear fell out of the tree and ran 1/4 mile and needed three more shots to finish it. There is a lot of head around a bears skull that can be hit and still miss the brain. Saw it personally a 220gr 308 passed between the eye socket and the cranially cavity missing the brain. A almost straight up angle. Bear dropped like a rock bounced when it hit the ground took of running. Several shots and half a mile later dead bear. Stuff happens after you pull the trigger | |||
