I doubt any government would do so, once launched it wouldn't have to put into port anywhere in particular and could avoid a lot of government regulation. With 50,000 residents, each would pay $200,000 to secure a bed. That's not chicken feed but if it bought a residence in a Libertarian community it might be a bargain... As someone else said on another forum, what a great target for pirates. And then of course you have to find pilots (or passengers) for the aircraft who can land one on a pitching and rolling deck !!! Previously 500N with many thousands of posts !

Pitching and rolling? Just how much pitching do you expect a 5000-5000foot long ship to do? With a beam greater than 500feet there won't be much rolling going on either.. Think about the polar moment of intertia of anything that large... If I provoke you into thinking then I've done my good deed for the day! Those who manage to provoke themselves into other activities have only themselves to blame. *We Band of 45-70er's* 35 year Life Member of the NRA NRA Life Member since 1984
