Yes hopefully they were insured indeed, but after my recent gun thefts I have given up on any hope of action on the local cops.

Never mistake motion for action.

Had some kids steal a collection.

They ended up in vending machines.

Wes,actually I have found to my great dismay that they don't care or do anything that requires effort. Now,arresting someone on a DWI that will bring in revenue;that they will do;once again that takes minimal effort on their part.Pdog, sorry if this offends you as I know you were in the profession but this is how the cops operate down here.

First off it most likely a matter for the postal inspector/investigators.

Then the local PD one does not know where the theft took place.

no different here - my son had several stolen - cops in the next county caught 3 guys - had the confess and in jail - cops here never even drove the 50 miles to interview them - never got them back

Must have been a doughnut shop in the way.Sorry (kinda) about giving the P.D. grief. If they did their job we would not be having this conversation. All the assholes are good for now are setting up speeding traps that bring in revenue but do nothing about criminal actions because that requires effort.I know we can't 'blanket policy' everyone with the same brush but down here it is very true.

I mentioned before that your state's Attorney General office has a consumer complaint section. Attorney's general complaints are free and easy and respected by local PD's. Found that out first hand. Rather not post details publicly. PM if you like.
